Happening to a near side-by-side with the Award’s Night is the SBR EXPO, a retailers event showcasing items all geared to the needs of a tri-athlete.  New retailers will join in the event showing their wares that are health related in nature that both athletes and non-sport minded individuals may be interested in. This is an open to all event, regulars of the mall can also enjoy the items offered on those days.

The first of all the races will take place in April which is the AQUAMAN (Aquathlon), followed by the DUAMAN (Duathlon) in May and capping it all off with the TRIMAN (Triathlon) in June; registration for all SBR events is now open to all interested individual and enjoy an early bird discount.

Part of SBR’s plan for this year is to launch a race event for kids and PWD’s – a group that shows promise in terms of growth, recognition and possible fair market locally and abroad.  Mr. De Guzman believes that the sport should be made open to all ages, sex and physical condition and still maintains the element of simple enjoyment without the normal pressure of a very dynamic and demanding sport.  He aims to bring the sport nationwide and have it set on the natural terrain of the province that he goes to.

    WHO IS SBR.PH?

What started as a simply desire by a tri-athlete is now a growing e-commerce and triathlon event group serving the growing local fans and enthusiasts of the sports, thus SWIMBIKERUN.ph is born in 2011.

SWIMBIKERUN.ph (SBR.ph) is the brainchild of a Carlos de Guzman, a tri-athlete with a passion for the sports.  With the fire burning strong, a community is now formed that is continuously growing and inspiring lives.  SBR.ph is an online store that caters to the gear needs of tri-athletes and/or those that are simply into running, swimming and cycling.  He has shirts, socks, caps, drinking bottles, monitor watches, goggles, support straps and such made available on his site.  He can also give support to some cyclist needs such as wheels.

Carlos de Guzman  conceptualized a whole tri-series event designed for beginners and come-backers.  This locally produced event is set to have the participants beat their own time in their own pace, letting them enjoy the whole experience of being part of this sport.  The logic behind this is to help the participant develop their own confidence and needed strength without the pressure of an outside time meter.  They build their strength and stamina and when they are ready, then they can fully try-out the other triathlon events in the country.  That is why he developed the whole sports event in a segmented pattern – the Aquaman (Aquathlon), the Duaman (Duathlon) and the Triman (Triathlon).  These allowed interested individuals to try out a segment first, build his confidence and strength, move to the next, and rebuild his strength again, till he is ready for the whole thing.  It also became a retraining ground for those who were out of the circuit for a time, making it a place for beginners and elites to meet and know one another and have their stories shared – flowing freely within the growing community.

After cultivating the soil for interaction, what better way to make it prosper by having a recognition activity and an expo thus the Award’s Night and SBR Expo was born.  This became a much attended event by the growing community of SBR.ph.  Enthusiast of the sports gets to be truly interactive by nominating their favorites and voting for those who qualified the nomination stage.  Winner gets to get the accolade that they deserve from the community that they are part of.  With the expo, runners, cyclist and swimmers get to see, choose and purchase sport’s items in one location.  It also became a meet and greeting ground for tri-athletes, community member or enthusiast they may be.  Expo retailers get to show their latest ware and enjoy a day or two of greeting, friendly haggling and seeing familiar and new faces in the sports.

From e-commerce to events maker to recognition and a growing home grown community, SBR.ph is truly making it strong and will push the envelope, opening new venues this 2018.

With the online voting taking place right now, the triathlon community of the Philippines is buzzing with excitement and is waiting for the results which will be made known during the Award’s Night which shall take place still at the event center of CCM.  Recognition to be given are for the following categories:

Elite Tri-Athlete of the Year (Men and Women Division)
Duathlete of the Year (Men and Women Division)
Age Group Tri-athlete of the Year (Men and Women Division)

Hello, fashionistas! We're here at Makati once more for another press release for SBR Expo & SBR awards night.

As usual, the invitation was sent in a rush as we did not expect to join in because we thought we'd pick up some tokens from December's Bazaar Press Release.

but as Ms. Cherry invited us to become media partners we thought it'd be a great opportunity to find out about the event.

On this post, though we're not here to talk about the event we're here to present to you the OOTD during the Media Launch. The post for the Media Launch is in progress and will be posted once done.

So without further ado, let's head on

The sun was shiny and there wasn't any forecast of impending rain in the area so I grab in a pair of International Klein blue sleeveless piece with necklace attached. Yes, the necklace is part of the outfit's accessory so you don't need to find an accessory to pair it with. This is all thanks to my mom who gifted it a long time ago and she probably wouldn't remember it (shh don't say it, let her guess who it came from).

I paired it with same International Klein blue colored shorts and secured my bottoms from those peeping toms ready to get inside the Jeepneys or buses.

If you remember my facebook post of sunglasses I bought at Divisoria, this is one of the Stylish cat glasses I wore on the same date.
The dress comes with a tie and provides a flexible adjustment for your body size.

I finally was able to wear sleeveless this time as I just had my HeySugar session yesterday before this launch. Hihihi
Bag is a gift of God like the sign says from Jeepney. Every part of my outfit was given by my loved ones and not a single dime spent, the sunglasses we're bought by bf.

We have some brown leather school shoes (almost flat) because we're walking long distances and for a mature hair style a low professional updo.

So there we are, I was glad I wore it because it was definitely light as a feather and airy for long walks.

Till next time again and watch out for the press release of SwimBikeRun

Last November 17, 2017, Hey Sugar opened up at Trinoma and we joined in. We went there hours before the bloggers time for waxing and they were fully booked. So, we decided to reschedule the booking for next time.

Instead, we were offered a buffet of a sweet and warm smile from the staffs in welcome.

On January 25, 2018, I went back for the waxing, luckily at the time I went around 1:00 pm there weren't any customers at the moment so I was given a TLC attention.

    EYEBROW THREADING
I was feeling nervous at first but when she held the thread with both hands, she moved swiftly and because of that, I didn't feel any pain. It was Ms. Vanessa Corporal which assisted me. She was even fun to converse with and caring in handling her customers.

She asks me to stretch out some skin for her to thread easily. I'm glad to help!
Extra hair growth that needed threading is done in a professional manner

By the time it was done I snoozed.

They moved me inside one of their cubicles and until the underarm waxing was done I fell asleep.
Literally. I didn't feel pain although I felt the hot wax touch my skin it was too soothingly comfortable I can't help dozing off!

    ARMPIT WAXING

Clean and ready to show to the world armpits. Wake up. hey!

Ms. Vanessa Corporal the most professional Aesthetician that even got me asleep because the session was comfortable and swift.

Everything took only 30 minutes from eyebrow threading to armpit waxing.

To make your waxing experience even more effective, Hey Sugar! shares 7 insider waxing tips straight from their aestheticians.

    1. Skip the lotion on the day of your appointment. They need a clean and dry skin so that you can achieve the best result.

    2. If you are to undergo waxing, skip shaving 2 weeks before your scheduled appointment. This is to ensure that hair is long enough to lie flat on the skin.

    3. Give time for your skin to breath after you wax. Since Hair will be removed and skin will be exposed, the skin will be sensitive.

    4. Avoid the harsh sun after waxing. It’s a no-no to have waxing services a day before you hit the beach or any other activities where there is a lot of sun exposure.

    5. Avoid extreme heat like saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers. Use cold water after waxing.

    6. Don’t wear tight-fitting clothes after having your waxing services. This includes synthetic Lycra that you usually use as a workout or gym clothes. Yes! A valid reason to skip the gym.

    7. Start exfoliating a couple of days after waxing to prevent ingrown hairs.

Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. recently lent its support to the “My Dream in a Shoebox” Gift-Giving Day
activity for the benefit of the Payatas Orione Foundation. The event was held at the Mother of Divine
Providence church grounds located in Payatas, Quezon City.

“My Dream in a Shoebox” is a long-running project that collects and distributes shoeboxes filled with
school supplies to poor and underprivileged Filipino children around the country. It is spearheaded by
TeamAsia together with the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines, Inc. (IBPAP).

It was the first time that Converge ICT participated in such an inspiring event in Metro Manila that was
held in one of the most poverty-stricken areas in the metropolis. According to Ms. Mari-Au Acuesta,
HR Director of Converge ICT, most of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) events were
focused in Pampanga where Converge ICT traces its roots.

Converge ICT served as food sponsor for the more than 700 people, composed mostly of kids, their
parents and volunteers. They also put up a photo booth and a face-painting area at the venue, the first
time these were included in the gift-giving event. The photo booth and face painting truly delighted not
just the kids but also the kids-at- heart, who all patiently waited for their turn. The long lines were a
testament to the fun-filled activities’ success.

Even Converge ICT personnel, particularly their graphics design team, did the face-painting themselves
long after the professional face painters have left. This further elicited laughter among the kids who
    nonetheless remained wide-eyed with excitement.

“We were delighted to see the response of kids. They were all awed by the Photo Booth setup and of
course, the face-painting. They marvelled at the kiddie-friendly images drawn on either hands or face,
and clearly they had fun, even if the Converge ICT personnel took over the face-painting chores. It was
    an inspiring sight,” Acuesta said.

Mr. Jesus Romero, COO of Converge ICT, bared that this initial CSR venture of Converge ICT will definitely see a repeat next year, and hinted that perhaps will even be bigger in scope.

For her part, Monette Iturralde-Hamlin, President of Team Asia and the project’s main proponent, said
she can’t believe that “My Dream in a Shoebox,” which started through a dream, is in its 9 th year already.
“We thank our many sponsors who supported the project throughout the years and still continue to
support us until today, including other new sponsors.”

Hamlin was delighted that Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. joined this year’s edition of “My Dream in a
Shoebox.” She thanked Converge ICT for participating as a Platinum sponsor and helped feed the throng
of kids who came in droves.

Converge ICT, Inc. started its business in 1992 and was already granted a congressional franchise. The
company has many Tier 1 international peering partners to ensure fast and reliable connectivity. It also
partnered with top domestic peering partners currently has the 3 rd largest Internet backbone in the
country to help further improve the Internet experience of Filipinos.

2017 has become a year mostly focused on the health and beauty aspects. The reason is simple, health is wealth. Take care of your body and you get to accomplish so many things in return. In this special space, I have here, reminiscing my whole year and summarizing up the best accomplishments of the Year is a great way to share how I spent my whole year round. So, together with me once again, let's have a roundup and reflect of the best moments we had this 2017.

    January

I never would focus on it until the first month of 2017 my health failed drastically. I was not able to post a single blog on that month mainly because I spent my whole month in the hospital, till then I became more careful of what I had to eat and exercise for a good circulation whenever I can.

    February

For 2017, February was the start of a journey to food industry, Massive Munchies had summoned a bunch of bloggers to cover up on their opening event at Quiapo.

It was near to our location and we met incredible persons to inspire us to pursue in the food business .

I was inspired to make creative wallpapers and sell them my shop for P50.00 with an anime inspired art.

    March

March was my beauty month when Svelti called up bloggers to attend their Emerge technology launch and won skin care and freebies which I am currently using today.

    April

April is my book month, when I reviewed an truthful inspiring book about Filipinos. It's a great eye opening read of hidden Filipino abilities and their capability of changing the world to better future.

    July

July was a combination of travel and skin health care when Nu Skin had invited us to their office to blog about their products and get a free facial. I was surprised when my partner knew about the place because he said that once back in highschool, he was invited there by our highschool teacher to join.

If you'd want an authentic Korean skin care coming right from their motherland, I shared a wishtrend link to get you a good discount on their site.

I discovered Gyo, an anime that gave me another surprise if their creative plot about fish with limbs and the concept of stench of death in zombified sea creatures.

Castlevania was released by Netlix and I couldn't get enough of reminiscing.

My travel plans to Paris had not been enough, it radiated to my imagination of Philippine resemblances of anime locations in the Philippines

    August

August was my technology and hair care month, I shared a ultra tough phone tried and tested for many years to help you with emergencies. I also shared a bit of my virgin hair secrets as what the experts say my hair's state is.

    September

I jumped for joy when September came because it is my birth month and it had greatly surprised me when Airbnb and friends, Lori had sent bouquet if roses and ferrero rocher to my home which left gossips throughout neighbors. I had shared my gifts for a girl ideas to those out there struggling to find a perfect gift for their girl friends and my simple birthday gift wishes. I also included a free birthday planner to make planning easy peasy for you. A visit to a nearby home store got me and my little buddy a good shampoo deal. This month, I haven't blog posted yet but I also had my hair colored by Vivere the post will be coming soon since the project's not done yet.

    October

October was a crabby surprise when we get cook a long clawed crab from Munoz Market, i was excited to then show you my workplace and phone set up and made a video of my Harry Potter makeup brushes.
At the same month, I had posted of my current skin care I'm loving from Svelti.

    November

November was the start of my adventures outside, we visited Casa Eros Muebles at Rizal a Victorian inspired home by the humble Mr. Abergas and shoot a modern princess look. We were invited to see Doraemon an SMX, I shared my Original Character Cosplay of Meaw 2.0 and met the General Manager of Food Truck Manila, at the same time meeting in person, Ms. Leomy, bloggers Philippines founder.

On the side note, I blogged of how I wanted Shelter to become a full movie brought about in my demise of watching Koe No Katachi and visited Resorts World Manila to attend the first ever Philippine Speed Statistics app, Bass ph.

    December

December exploded with many blessings of events I couldn't even count. I first shared a blog about the life of a moe girl and joined Hey Sugar at Trinoma for their opening. I was supposed to go at Nailholics but due to unexpected circumstances, I was only able to share their promo. At home I did my first steps on creating the holiday vibe and shared my sponsors from our Christmas Party through video as well.

A hint of fashion gave me an idea to post of a simple denim wear I had worn to meet VIP bosses on one busy day at Makati and joined in Yupangco at UnliCity. I was also invited at Black Maria Cinema for Discomation where I cosplayed Himouto Umaru~ I haven't blog posted about that.

A little odd job at Trinoma for Cospray brought in Spice and little nice to get my sales skills up refreshed as I became their brand Ambassadress for the day at Toys R Us.

I ended up joining Bloggers Philippines Christmas celebration and was blessed with raffle winning and major prize blessings I never would have thought of having.

The whole year was a blessing for me and my family. Although, a sad part I was not able to discuss in my blogs were the beloved departures of our relatives this holiday seasons. Yet, I am thankful is that I am with my Mom and partner who are fit and healthy, I have nothing more to wish for. Even though I had separated with my friends from work but I keep in touch with them from time to time on facebook, I am blest that they are a part of my 2017. Nothing can beat that.

This year, I had learned so much to love and take care of your body and health, love friends, keep them and welcome new friends. Lastly, grab as much opportunity to make your dreams come true because life is unexpected and the most important is that you're happy and contented.

Hope you also had a great year ahead!

Happy New Year and may the next year ahead be sweet to you and your family.
    Cheers for a 2017 and 2018!
