The 7 titles are popular
outside of Japan and ranked highly on various anime distribution platforms.
Among them, “The Vexations of a
Shut-In Vampire Princess” won 1st place in Anime Corner's ranking, and “The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy” was ranked 3rd
on MyVideo.
Anime is recognized around the
world as a representative culture of Japan, however, limited distribution and
video platforms have led fans to pirate their favorite anime, which has caused
losses of around USD 15 billion in 2021, marking a five-fold increase from 2019. Despite
the massive demand for anime that has resulted in nearly every animation studio
in Japan being booked solid years in advance, some talent in the industry make
as little as USD 200 a month.
REMOW aims to remove the
barrier of platform exclusivity and directly bridge Japanese anime to fans
around the world by making the medium compatible with all distribution formats.
REMOW’s delivery system guided by its “creator first” approach will allow creators to effectively monetize
their work in line with their global appeal, and help the anime industry to
thrive collectively. As part of that effort, REMOW launched the It’s Anime Store, an online shop for anime goods available in 120
countries worldwide in October 2023 (merchandise details can be found at the
end of the document).

Makoto Shinkai, one of the most famous Japanese animation directors, is at it again. "Suzume no Tojimari" is set to be released this summer. This is his first feature film in three years since "Kotonoha no Niwa".
In English translation of Suzume no Tojimari, it means Suzume's Lock-up or Suzume's Door-Locking.

IS IT LIKE THE DOOR IN ISEKAI SHOKUDOU (Restaurant to another world)?
You're Probably wondering if we get to see more delicious dishes from another dimension through that door. Was it really like that? Actually...
The movie follows the story of elementary school girl Suzume who lives with her grandmother, Tsubasa. One day she discovers a portal that leads to another world.
Makoto Shinkai's latest feature-length animation film, "Suzumiya Haru no Yume", tells the story of an 11-year-old girl who discovers a mysterious door in the mountains.
So, did Makoto Shinkai took inspiration from Isekai Shokudou?
Let's see.
Suzume meets a traveler (young man) looking for a door. She gets curious and follows him and finds the mysterious door in the mountain ruins.
The door opens up to other places in Japan and some doors lead to disaster.
The young man specified that the doors to the other locations must be closed to prevent calamities from affecting the other side.
So basically the door is somewhat like a road trip portal around Japan. Wow, so convenient for travelers!
But then again if you ever get a chance to step into doors like this then you can get to try more food from the other locations very easily, right?
I do think many were wishing to have this kind of door to open up in their workplaces or overseas!
THE MAGICAL DOOR
The door in Isekai Shokudou is a form of teleportation magic. Although we only know a few details about what powers up the door in Makoto Shinkai it is in no doubt some sort of teleportation magic.

So did he got the inspiration from Shokudou?
The manga from the restaurant to another world came out in a magazine of November 2016, meanwhile Makoto wrote and directed Suzume no Tojimari only recently. At that year of 2016 when Isekai Shokudou released he was working on the 'Your name' movie. There is a big possibility that he may have got this same concept and probably thought of using it to teleport somewhere else!
We are also dreaming of the same Shinkai-san!
However, a reminder to everyone that there is one more original concept where this came from and has always been the icon from the 90's and that would no other than, a door owned by another cat himself,
Doraemon
So the bigger possibility that the inspiration stems in Doraemon and look like a more credible source. However, only Shinkai -san would be able to tell us all about this.
RELEASE DATE:

Fall 2022. Yeah, its going to be a waiting game once more. Makoto Shinkai really got my attention with his movie animation 'Your name'
He's being compared to Hayao Miyazaki. Well they are both wonderful to me. My thirst for this type of animation is bottomless and since the art takes so much effort and time, only a few are created.

Its hard nostalgia hit me when months ago I've been searching on to Kissanime's search bar Grander Musashi for quite some time and suddenly a few weeks ago I just found out that they uploaded a subtitled version of it.
Kissanime surely checks the searches of people on their search bars!
Oh my, I almost died of nostalgia... this anime was the reason why I got curious and watched Hunter X Hunter, it's because Musashi is similar to Gon and I thought, it was a continuation of the series.
I clearly remember how I got engrossed with fishing baits back then... and was so eager to go on fishing with my family.
Apparently, I wasn't good at it... since there's a lot of factors that make you an expert at it and I'm super impatient catching any fish!
The opening song just struck me and I sang the same time I finally get to hear it once more... oh my childhood memories struck me as if I turned back time even for just a moment there.
It's why Rick Harrison in Pawnstars could not comprehend why Pokemon cards were so expensive on one of their episodes. The reason why is because Millenials like to relive the past, although it's impossible, at the very list their toys and collectibles help to at least take them back on those times.
I have another Nostalgic strike, although this time it was a toy maybe I'll have that for another post.

Ms. Landlady has always been smiling, she was like the 'I got everything' under control character in the Chobits series but, we suspect that she is more than what meets the eye.
Behind that all ever shining smile, we were all surprised that even such an innocent-looking character like her, would throw Chii at the side of the road like garbage. We probably would have accepted if her memory was erased and still have consciousness, then tried to lose her at the side of the road, like a puppy, but it's somewhat like Miss Pepper Potts from Iron Man saying " I do anything and everything Mr. Stark requires, including occasionally TAKING OUT THE TRASH. Will that be all?"
Yes, Chitose treated Chii literally like trash, unlike what Ms. Potts who only talked in Metaphor but still carried out her job.
and what happened to Freya?
We suspect even worse, our vision that Chii's sister, Freya had much worse fate than her, as we predict that she was butchered or let's say it a bit more technical 'disassembled' in a matter of way.
We all know that both girls Chii and Freya were extremely close to their creator father to the point that it seems jealousy stemmed from their mother with the seemingly endless attention his husband gave to Chii and Freya.
Thankfully, she spared Chii, which we think was a mere mercy action of a mother, although Chitose Hibiya did erase 'almost' every memory she had with her former family. Well, if she didn't we wouldn't have the series, right?
In conclusion, Miss Landlady isn't really all the innocent looking door next-door neighbor that we know. We think that she is a tender looking psychopath - that would seem to snap out if triggered anytime soon.
So I guess better be careful and be kind to your neighbors - especially the cute, innocent looking ones, because you may never know.

Yes, we have ordered this. It seems to be a magazine though, we did not expect that but a little extra is good!
