    THE UNEXPECTED BLESSING

    God has given a lot of surprises to me despite of my being very lax in my physical health lately, he kept on reminding me that I should never let go of my dreams no matter how blurred it may seem. I was contacted that I have won tickets for the special screening of the Knock Knock by Keanu Reeves. i thought i was dreaming so I kept on reading the email and contacted the sender, confirmed and set the date.

    I admit that I was being very lax, in mostly my diet and health, it was quite the rush 'again' to keep in shape. I received the note a day before the screening and terribly no time to at least ready my self. I have watched horror to suspense movies everyday, if most have known that I loved watching them big time.















    THE RIDE
    The screening held at Glorietta 4 cinema 3, admittedly long travel from my place, I took a bus and it did took 5 hours ride, as expected with edsa traffic.

    When I arrived at the venue it was already 6:30 pm and waited a few minutes to meet mam Honey for the tickets. she had beautiful red hair and was very kind to us.

    KNOCK KNOCK MOVIE REVIEW

    Knock Knock is a 2015 Chilean-American erotic horror film directed by Eli Roth, who also co-wrote the script with Guillermo Amoedo and Nicolas Lopez. The film stars Keanu Reeves, Lorenza Izzo, and Ana de Armas. The film is scheduled to be released on October 9, 2015, by Lionsgate Premiere.

    The show started 8:00 pm after the Philippine hymn.


    What would you do if you find two dripping wet ladies come knockin' on your door for help? Would you let them in and stay?

    I watched the trailer months ago and it hit a big interest, apparently it is about a married man, starred by Keanu Reeves, and one day he was knocked in his house by two voluptous ladies, asking for temporary shelter, eventually he became friends with them. That morning, he thought the ladies would be gone but to his demise they didn't, and that's when all the fun turned into a nightmare for him as he tried to convince them to go home.




    CHARACTER REVIEW

    Mr. Keanu's acting has surprised me seeing how he was able to perform an act different from his former movies.



    The two leading ladies for me are the shining stars of this film, admittedly Evan(Keanu's) wife and children looked unconvincing in their roles, which I also see as scripted and lack of emotions, but the two ladies, Bel and Genesis played by Ana de Armas and Lorenza Izzo are definite eye and emotion catchers. They brought life to the characters. I also would love to give out how hot Genesis here, she's got one of the most tantalizing eyes. 



    THE SENSUAL PART
    There are many parts of the movie where it depicted intense sensuality which is not for minors, it is the 'spicy' part of the movie and from what I saw they we're able to play it well, the camera angles gave good censorship.
    Bel played by Ana de Armas looks like Marilyn Monroe in this movie 
    The twist of this movie is surprising and leaves a hang over haha~ actually the movie pointed out incredible point of views about marriage and fidelity and left lessons in life worth keeping for, it will not dissapoint you as this film gave one of the craziest and unique plot in a suspense movie.


    IMPACT ON VIEWERS

    The impact of the movie is well observed at the ladies after the screening, to some, I noticed that they had exhibited a more playful attitude, although im not certain if that is their usual behavior, but most of them I see became very cheerful.

    I recommend to all that wants that thrill, suspense with a mix of sensuality, humuor and mind boggling situational analysis, the perfect ingredient for that suspense nights!
    Knock Knock's premiere night is on October 9th for United States theaters and October 20th for Philippine Cinemas, so watch out for that and make sure to set an alarm to your calendars!

           A curious noble girl begins her journey to see a whole world around her, 


    she jots down all her adventures in her diary, leaves and hids it in places where no one could find, leaving a mark to know where she placed them.    

    Everytime she goes out in a journey, she writes and writes then hids them, little did she knew a man was able to find one piece of her diary,




    Each diary leading to another destination where to find the next chapter.
    The man collected the pieces of the diary and bound them together,


    He gave it to the town's publishing company together spreading a news to held a great ball and invite all noble girls in town.

    There's a newly opened convenience store in town and I can't wait to check it out. I googled the name of the store and it had it's roots in Japan.
     I went inside and they had this minimalistic interiors, all white walls and incredibly powerful aircons.

    It looks like a typical local convenience store but it had less customers at the time I arrived.
     It was lunch time and I ordered the : Fried Chicken with unlimited rice for P64.00

    The taste of the chicken was salty but crunchy and everytime I drank water i felt bloated.

    I usually eat a lot of rice but since it was salty it definitely terminated my appetite.
     Customers seemed to love their ice cream maybe I will try this the next time.

    The moment we've all been waiting for the announcement of winners for the Cosplay Costume of the Year has finally come and we're all very excited to know who won in each category. 

    As you all know, my entry this year is my Cinematic Ahri Costume. If you haven't read the behind the scenes making here is the link:

    Held at SMX Mall of Asia Last May 16, 2015. 

     I decided to dress up as Rin Tohsaka from Fate Stay Night because the Ahri costume is very big and I won't be able to fit inside the venue. The entrance fee is 100, fortunately for us, we were given free tickets as the winner and so many events listed on their website. The line outside (side) of the SMX was long and temperature is really hot, but it was worth it once you get inside. There was a Cafe by the entrance and comfort rooms at the First Floor. We were informed that there is also a Dentist Convention going on at the same time of the event. Once at the entrance, we surrendered the ticket and had green stamps. By the entrance it was the registration booth and I asked if the Singing contest is still open but unfortunately it was closed. Beside the registration is the Yoshinoya booth where you can have packed meals, booths in the middle and drawing tables for the artists. There were huge Dressing rooms beside the Stage Area. 

     I immediately looked for the Otaku Asia Magazine and bought it. Magazine is worth P80.00.

     I was informed that the call time would be 2:00pm, I arrived at the venue at 1:00pm so I waited and watched the event going on. By the time I sat down Bring Me games started. Then there is also the challenge to cross the mini Torii. 







    The first half of the cosplay competition started and I was stunned by the tremendous Mecha cosplay. I was right infront of the stage and It felt scary just looking at it. After that, we were called at the side stage while they announce the Winners for Cosplay Costume of the Year.

     I was chosen as the Best Female, I was asked how I feel and when I told them, "I feel nervous", they asked me why I still feel nervous I already won. I was nervous because it was my First time to go up stage and receive an award for my costume creation, Ms. Jia Bustamante was beside me and Mr. Robert Wong, Editor-in Chief of Otaku Asia Magazine is also beside me. I really feel like I don't have anymore blood in my veins, had tremendous chills and so on. Well, can't blame me for being nervous! Then they took pictures of us. We all gathered upfront and got taken pictures and videos. 

     When Mr. Liui got up stage the girl crowd had gone wild and everyone was very excited to have his autograph.

     After that I had my Fan Sign with Ms. Jia and of course Picture! I am very glad to finally meet Mr. Robert and he signed both my Cosplay + his Cosplay. I wanted to have the signature of the other stars too, but I needed to go because of class schedule the next day, and I needed to get ready.
    At side stage waiting to be called for the final picture infront, I'm holding the Best Female award

     For all that helped and supported me in this Journey, I Truly Thank you! Thank you for choosing me as your Cosplay Costume of the Year Best Female 2014.
    After the awarding, I immediately went to Yoshinoya booth to eat, they have packed lunches. I haven't had lunch when I arrived it was very near call time.

     Guys, never do this, never skip meals especially when you are going to get in a stressful situation (mine is just nervousness but it affects me a lot esp. with my metabolism), why?
    well I had Ulcer after 1 week and it was incredibly painful!

     Ulcers happen when there is excessive stomach acid secretion causing the protective lining of the intestine to create holes or breaks, it hasn't been proven that stress can be the cause but it may aggravate the condition.

     As for me, I only had little breakfast and no lunch. My stomach had nothing to digest coupled with my nervousness, well we all know what happens when it gets too acidic. Even though I ate after the awarding, the damage has been done and I'm always reminded  "Prevention is incredibly Better than Cure"

    Invitation

    University of the Philippines Anime Manga Enthusiasts held an open forum:

    Generation Gap: How Anime in the Philippines Influence Filipino Generations!

    When I found out about this, I got very excited! This discussion took my interest since I have been a very big fan of anime since my younger days. It is open for non-up students so Yey!

    Back then, I remember my older brothers and sisters would go gaga over Voltes V, but they prohibit me to watch because of its violent content.

     I indulged on Animes such as Akazukin Cha Cha, Blue Blink, Sailormoon, Kimba the white lion, The adventures of Tom Sawyer, Princess Sarah, The adventures of peter pan, Georgie. 



    TRAVEL
    So back to the event, I inquired my travels there, it took me 3 jeepneys to go there, when you get to the U.P gate, there were jeepneys that go inside the campus to drop off at College of Arts and Letters or "CAL." CAL is then just a short walk from the drop-off point. You may ask nearby guards for directions. Once you get inside CAL, go upstairs and proceed to Room 207.
    It wasn't very easy to find the building as there was another big buiding infront, so we had to ask the guards for directions.


    Main Event

    When I arrived at the area many students gather around and registration was in front, the program started with a film showing the anime that greatly influenced people, namely: FUSHIGI YUUGI, VOLTES V, CODE GEASS, each shown with an episode or two. This was done while we wait for the main speaker to arrive.

    Late afternoon, Prof. Vladimeir Gonzales came in and started the talk. It was an intelligent talk, during his years of study he observed a lot of factors and evidences where anime situations can be seen even with inside political matters. he pointed out even the disadvantages and advantages it will bring forth to our future. How strategies are made with anime as your inspiration. 

    The presentation came with the visual Powerpoint aid but we were not allowed to take pictures. The talk was brief, short but precise. I seriously would love to hear more from all his experiences and views. I would be wishing for another forum like this.

    MANG LARRY'S

    After the talk, we head to Mang Larry's which is just one jeep before going out the gate. We ordered everything there is available on the Menu and as we wait I go pose in the nature beside their store. 


    I was actually sad because all my 300 pesos gone immediately and my bf saw that I looked great being sad, like a SAD DOLL in the nature. Dress and hairstyle inspired by a Korean death God character.
    I look so happy here after we were given the cooked Isaws. Never mind the 300 this is once in the lifetime.
    So these are the pairs that we bought.
    I lost info which is which but my receipt there are all that we purchased.













    If you ask me which one is my favorite I will not be able to respond to you because all of them are MMMMMMMMMM! Delicious!
    Probably the juiciest of all is the Chicken butt.
