I really can't contain the excitement anymore, I need to tell you guys an interesting celebrity look-alike, as in celebrity to celebrity. Lately, I was watching a usual Korean drama I am craving nowadays, The Last Empress and when I found the actress Ms. Lee Elijah, she is known to play the part of Min Yu Ra, the emperor's lover, I can't stop thinking of one beautiful face who has played role in Philippine History of Drama, Ms. Alice Dixson. I saw her on tv when she was still young till today, they have so much similar face structure and even with that dazzling smile. Everytime I watch her on The Last Empress I feel that she became young and -korean!

When I even searched for Lee Elijah on google images, Alice Dixson's picture even came on one of her searches! See google knows too!
I can't help to think if Ms. Elijah has undergone plastic surgery and Alice was the reference face, but that's only a thought... similarity is incredible that I can't stop imagining if Ms. Alice had such roles during these times at her young age, I would definitely admire the beauty.
Last Christmas, we had to grab the easiest luxury meal that we can do at home, not only because we want to keep it minimal but all of us were feeling lazy doing the cooking and preparation. December was after all a busy month for us and doing the most convenient yet healthy meals are essential for the family. It was just very easy 5 steps and you can even cook while you're doing something else on the side, once the pasta has been boiled to soft all you need to do is combine everything.
Ingredients:
Pesto Powder
Olive Oil
Parmesan Cheese
Bacon Strips
Pasta
Water
Procedure:
1. Boil the pasta in water and let simmer till soft.
2. Fry the Bacon Strips till crispy.
3. Combine Pesto powder and olive oil to make sauce, pour over the pasta.
4. Garnish with Parmesan Cheese.
5. Serve
Yesterday I posted a picture on facebook of my newest vanity reveal.
My vanity is a mixture of crystal glass and golden dainty lights. I choose a long standing mirror as I needed for outfits, I do have my Vintage Clairol Light mood changing mirror on top of that circular glass table most of times, but since its mobile I can always carry it anywhere in the room.
I keep a vintage perfume bottle for quick fresh spray before heading out and my bb cream inside of the round crystal glass container gifted by one of my titas. It was just the perfect location for storing my bb cream since I usually use only pouches these days. I find it efficient to use pouch rather than the tube ones which I dont seem to get the whole content inside, plus it's way economical. My BB cream is unbelievably manufactured by Samsung, yes, you read it right, the famous Samsung brand also have a makeup line and their bb cream are as unique as their cellphones are. On casual days, the bb cream is enough for light makeup, but on cosplay or professional blogging days, it serves as a powerful primer dewy glow finish, I believe what Michellephan said that you'll have to get a product which serves a lot of purpose. The bb cream was recommended by a sponsor who studied my skin for more than 10 years, because I seem to respond to makeup products differently than other girls do and when this was recommended at first, I was hesitant but many had complimented the difference with my usual make-ups, then I saw a huge change which got me to change, it's my break-outs, they lessened and disappeared.
Moving on, my old vanity is now sits in my old blue room which seems to collect dust. I don't know if I should sell it or not since there were parts that I feel are already missing, but it is a sturdy vanity which served me for many years. You're probably wondering where my other make-ups are, I have a vintage tin mini luggage which I store them, I don't keep a lot of make-ups since my face has been cooperative for the past few months. I would only visit my dermatologists and in a few days, skin is incredible already, yes, I am a lazy girl I don't do maintenance. This year I wanted to make a change and I decided to plan it very early as in to the literal start of the year. A dream or a goal board is my answer to organize an inspirational visual plan. Keeping a goal and rewarding self is one of the essential part of my life, once I have a clear path of what I wanted to do and achieve it, the feeling of fulfillment echoes, maybe when I look back at my retirement days and smile upon it. My goals I've kept on my dream Board are minimalistic as four pictures, in it, I will already be reminded of what are the list of plans I want to attain in the span of a year. The pictures by the way are only references I took from the internet, they're not mine.
1. A picture of a bed with pastel tone sheets.
It's not much different from what I am using today, since I use the pastel pink conforter on my bed, white pillows, but I'd like to add a bit of pastel gray color scheme this time. I'm adding them to my windows, I will be sewing them if I didn't find a suitable one for me. The interiors can't be seen there but I've also used this picture to remind me of my latest interior craze for contemporary style, meaw liked low lying bed, so I feel japanese style suits it. I am planning to paint the walls gray. The room is just too bright that I could not sleep if I am on graveyard shift. Lastly, the project on the floor seems left behind, I'd like to push in to deadline this year.
Why am I prioritizing the bed?
I spend like most time there, I even wrote this while lying down at bed, yeah so I spend most activities there I'd rather make it my place of sanctuary. We we're hesitant to get a platform bed since I use the space sometimes for my studio, but I found a good place to set-up my studio, so I think thats not going to be a problem anymore.

This drawing will remind me of many things, my fashion goals, my cosplay goals, my hair goals and my creative manga goals.
It's probably not new to you how much I love pastels and kawaii clothes, so I plan to make more and make cute cosplays too. Oh, my hair goals, actually, I have to fulfill my collaborations for hair that takes years already. I must finish them now, I am sponsored with not only for hair coloring but also for maintenance and treatment, but since I don't do the maintenance, my hair is in trouble, I can't spoil anymore time, I need to finish it now and follow the maintenance. Sheesh.
3. A Pilipinas stamp
Yes, I found that I must focus more on my travel niche part of my blog and vlog.Although the stamp is usually used for delivering mail, but nowadays its used as a good adornment for travel journals. So, its the perfect symbol of my travel goals.
I have been waiting to and could not fulfill them since I am preoccupied with many things, this year though I'll be a traveler, not a tourist. I'll slowly learn the culture and appreciate the beauty on my own time. I will not be there to just snap a selfie on that place but be able to truly connect with its history or beauty.
4. Do epic shit
Yes, with all of these combined I have to keep in mind that with everything I do, I must do it with quality. If speed is a must, I should master both quality and speed.
This year I vow to do another epic, its been 3-4 years since my last epic work has launched, it's time to make another and there's no stopping, just fulfilling.
They're at it again. The connection became sluggish and the system moves on its own with unexplained errors. They're definitely at it again. This scenario is the same, whenever hackers try to do what they're good at 'hack'. Mostly they would have my browser's activities and desk activities, then from my searches at most, they would have a new trendsetting ideas. It's not new to me, they've been doing this, the best part is that they would garner credits and profit from it. I follow several creators, like Auraqualic to name a few, and being original does have what they call the greatest flattery of all 'copycat' but the heartaches the creators feel when the creations they made are used against them is shattering.
A few months back, I made geek radio. I made it because I've seen creator's heart crushed by these people. I wanted the radio to serve as inspiration to ignite that passion that these people had put out. I know the feeling and now I've felt it more than ever. I wish that this reached out to the creators feeling the same and is battling it out. We're he're and we feel the same.
I dont credit this as mine, but my searches about an 'ear cuff and tondo' has been on my history years and months back. It is a good trendsetting keywords that I saw became a world winner. People may have a hard time believing especially for some small time blogger like me to say it, but it happens. I teared upon watching one earrings designer had told her story of her very own copycat. She had a hard time coping up with it and it almost feels like you lost a part of your life with it. I usually shrug this off, but this time I could no longer ignore. There are only few creators in this world and their dreams are being crushed, only a few understand the value of creators and many misunderstood them.
My very own idol, I looked up to has lied low. She's been through a lot when she became a sensation, to the point it shattered her life, but all she did was just to share her masterpieces on her page, yet the world became cruel to her and now they no longer speak of her name moreover curse her for the monstrosity of her works of art. Because of this I never see her share her works freely anymore, which I wish and adore so much, she inspires me and even when I reach out to her to encourage her, the pain she felt had affected her, how I miss her usually carefree works and now its gone.
I am angered by these people a lot, not only were they only taking and crediting themselves but they even kill the original creators dreams. I asked one co-creator of mine, how they're able to make it through this a double edge curse and blessing, and I feel that there really is no solution nor remedy with this, yet as long as you're breathing, you can always try to fulfill your dreams. This is not new news, like chanel said ' if you want to be original, get ready to be copied'
Its inevitable, but just keep on moving forward, the most important of all is you fulfill them, doesnt matter if they even get greater credits from it, what matters is that your dreams are fulfilled because thats some accomplishment you can take with you in next eternal life.

Look at your path, it doesn't matter if they follow you. You lead it. Enjoy the moment and never sway.
Cool cold season finally hit Q.C and It's a bit late than expected, a few days ago I was a busy bee for doing cosplay and I'm happy the weather was cold because I didn't sweat like a pig trying on the costumes, I still had to turn the air con for a while when I had to shift back to a warmer costume. My inspirations always hit me during cold season, maybe because since the temperature invites a great thinking atmosphere. I would often wonder what I will prioritize, maybe read a book? Study a new program? Make a new manga? Do cosplay crafting? There's so much I want to do and I'm going to get sad if the cold season gets over quickly. I looked over my closet and noticed that every wear ready are for summer. Well, it's always summer in the Philippines that's why, but I wonder it would ve be nice to wear my fashion coats, yet I feel very shy to wear them, many people would probably stare that I wear it.
It's not custom in the Philippines to wear a coat, a cardigan is fine but not coats, and here I am with a collection of coats catching dust in my closet, I wear them on special formal occasions instead. This december, I really have the urge to wear them but I might not be able to.
Last year's countdown to Christmas was my busiest time when we had joined numerous blogging gigs and parties. It was a downpour of blessings, but this year, its definitely a surprise in having cosplays as demand, wherein it was last year's november demand. I am quite confused but I feel that it wasnt so bad as it might be a great preparation for next year and I'm excited!
Lately, I've been selling and purging several items on my closet. I do this yearly when I can but I am hands down, gave up to a lot of stuff in my closet I can't purge them all. I might be spending a few more months to do it.
I have this craze of watching people do their journals and listening to cute cafe music, i usually pair it with my favorite hot tea or choco and this makes me feel calm, warm, satisfied and happy. What surprise was when I tried ovaltine cookies, i found in a shelf alone in supermarket and was astonished with the sweet taste.
The news had said that COD is open again, COD means Christmas on display, its a moving mannequin situated near Araneta Center and it bought the best Childhood memories of Filipino child back then. I wanted to go there, bring my mom, but I figure out that she might have a hard time to go because of the crowd and traffic, she is after all not in good shape due to age, but how I wish to relieve the past of visiting there with her.
It's been quiet in the neighborhood, our dogs and hedgehog had gone hibernation and I feel that I might go on hibernation too as the chilly weather is inviting for a whole day at bed. There isn't much to think about since we have loads of ham for the festive season coming from giveaways and mom just questioningly bought more which we don't understand why. I would be looking forward to having a hot coco on our tea sets soon. Mom is the real deal lolita, since she was a young girl, she would be dressing in one cute lolita dresses and her collection of tea sets are too many to count, her tradition to use them for Christmas became unique 'Christmas feel', I would be dressed in lolita but I keep it simple so its easy to move around. I'm happy that we're able to be together, last two years ago I was stuck at work since the whole team are assigned to spend the christmas and new year, we were unlucky at that time, but the next years I prefer to spend it with mom, I want to treasure each holiday with her even when she's grumpy all the time.
Speaking of grumpy, my hedgie, ero might get a bath soon but he doesnt seem to want one as he entered the hibernation mode.
I am overjoyed with the latest addition to my kitchen collection and what's more is that I got them in a bargain price of only P10.00 each. I took all of whats on the shelf, we're planning to do a feast this holiday.
Speaking of which, I found this page preciousplastics on facebook and I am very much happy that a way to recycle plastics to make new products are on now on the market, they have all the instructions if you want to build a machine. I wish we can partake in this soon.
My binge on watching serene korean simple life videos made me want their 'cafe' like interiors. It's not far from what we have at home but needs a bit of touch and it has potential.
When my blog is still a toddler, I've made a vow to myself that the very first sponsored experience of dining in an unlimited Yakiniku restaurant will be given a gift of my appreciation.

And finally, all dreams came true for last December 3, 2018 Tuesday at Sct. Fernandez Tomas Morato, we visited Yoshi Meatsu branch and had a once- in a lifetime experience on a korean japanese unlimited restaurant.
We proceeded upstairs and you'll be able to see a huge display of Japanese snacks or katana displays.
The staff kindly prepared the table for us and we were given seats upstairs, the restaurant has welcoming warmth feel and air is filled with grilled meat all over, it is not smoky which I thought will, but because of the installed individual exhaust which seems to suck in all the smoke emanating from the charcoal grill.
I love how the staff laid out the table setting of Stainless steel chopsticks and rectangular plates, then sauce servings per side, makes it easy to access everything you need.
On my floral white and blue modified kimono, I've joined in the 2pm servings of Tempura, Grade 1-2 Yakiniku at first.
It was drenching hot outside so I started with the glass bottle of chilled apple tea, the sourness and apple flavor slides on my throat, and did I just mentioned the aesthetic glass it comes, each bottle costs P138.00 and its a treat to take it home for a eco-friendly totally stylish swap to plastic bottles. Although, the bottles are not part of the unlimited deal and sold separately, I would have a pretty cool reason to go back here.

The juicy yakiniku meat just melts in my palate, there were three sauce to pair them with but I avoided the spicy one, can't have that due to my stomach condition, if you've read my medical blog you'll know what I mean. I thought everything was going to be spicy, my fear and anxiety of trying always gets on the way, but my bestfriend, on our small talks l, reassured me that I should try one and I will have a choice not to have the spicy sauce.

I had a sip of both korean and japanese Sochu and my whole body felt really warm on just first sip which I regret since I am wearing triple linens.
Herbed Steak
Herbed steak being cooked as to per my request of "well done", took me one challenging bite but it was worth it, the thickness of the meat will not disappoint if you're looking to find something that would satisfy your hunger.
Japanese treats such as california maki is included on the side. Yum Yum! Both the bland rice and a bit of sour salty stuffing rubbles in my mouth delightfully.
Striking a pose while the meat sizzles, table top grilling does give you a lot of bonding time with your family, friends or special someone, its the perfect sit, chill and eat experience on staying updated with them and with toast of drinks, this is a great way to reward and celebrate for a job well done.
The best treat is the cheese, their grill has special side where you can place the cheese and let it grill too, the salty taste and savoury meat combined makes delectable palate experience.

The miso soup is my very first try, people tell me that it tastes sour like sinigang, its none like sinigang for me, theres only faint sourness, its aromatic but never overpowering.

At the time of our grill, amazingly caught my attention is when they played anime music videos such as the Hunter X Hunter, you guys know how I'm a big fan of this anime. Of course, my love for kpop and kdramas will always be there too, I got all excited and hyped up to blog because of the songs.
I went to peak downstairs at the serving area and saw their rows and columns of prepared dishes picked up to be served. I wanted to lend a hand to serve. Hehehehe
The cashier is right beside this serving station and welcomes you once door is opened.
Facilities such as a small comfort room and wash area are located on the 2nd floor. So, if you need to hold your lettuce, you don't need to worry, they have good soap, hehehe

The staff are going up and the stairs all the time, so if you need something they are there to assist.

I had fun with sir Ross on making a short video in Japanese language although my voice isnt too audible due to the noise in the background. You may see some videos available in his facebook wazzup pilipinas page. I laughed when I saw my self on some videos and pictures. seemingly trying to focus on engulfing meat hehehe.
I haven't tried their premium offers yet, but I can see from their menu that it'll be worth it, when you get to dine it, maybe try their premium deals to see the difference.
I've made a decision to join in this year's headgear competition, a digital art contest that where I can share the characters headgear design, I've worked on my preliminary submission work which took me for at least 2 hours to finish. I know I lack in speed but I decided to join in and have fun.

After submission, I received a confirmation two days before the contest and I was happy that I'd get to join a brand new competition in my life. The only time I competed for my art was back at school and I admit that I dont have much confidence in my work. I was encouraged to join as a special person told me that its time for me to harness the skills and awaken this sleeping talent I forced to put to sleep.
All I know is that I would be using a Huion tablet which I havent tried and I am anxious what program they'll let us use.
The day before, there was an email confirmation that I'll also attend as media and I felt the pressure seep into me.
The day of the event
We've arrived at the venue early in at around 9 or 10, we were led to a special entrance for media. The staff assisted us with all the questions especially when they got confused that I was also looking for the booth of headgear competition. It wasnt my first time to get inside the skydome, the last time I was inside, i was at talentadong pinoy show, this time the whole venue was given life with the picturesque castle stone pavillion and walls.

A stage was set-up and a small stylish area for guests and players to seat in front with snacks has been set-up. Booths are located on the sides.

It didn't take very long, we started out very early after the orientation at 11 am, I signed up for one hour early slot and took it, its only 45 mins draw for all sides and I could feel that its going to be difficult to get a good line highlight for my
work, so I made a sketch.
The best thing is that they let us have references, I took mine with one of the sketches I had a few days back.

I didnt finish the lining and color, as I thought, it took me sometime to get acquianted with the tablet or photoshop, this has become my weakness as I am not trained to make vectors with that program, added to my lack of speed practice. Someone noticed one of the competitors tablet didnt work, it wasnt the program, so they changed it and took 5 minutes from him. Oh dear, and I was on thinking of buying a unit from them, this did have a point of realization that maybe durability might become an issue in the future, and thats the top priority I always look for.
A Swinging Brunch

After the contest, we went out to have out branch, I was looking forward to eat unli-rice at mang inasal but boy, all seats are taken! We saw an attractive swing dining set up called tambayan ni Pedro and the menu is similar with mang inasal, so we tried it out. The chicken I had was crispy, slightly burnt sides but didnt affect the juicy taste. Their oil was savory when drenched to my rice however, my companion, a food critic told me that each flavor was too strong for him that there was no harmony on them anymore, he noticed I stopped and didn't finish on my second rice which is odd because I always do, he said thats its probably terminated my appetite. For me, it was good and seating on a swing in the middle of the mall added to comfort and amusement, although I was annoyed with the kid on my back trying to bang the swing all the time since each swing is cramped up. Overall, it was a good experience and we had great conversation.

The time we went back, we were expecting that the program had moved on to its schedule, but we were surprised that it hasn't started yet, the schedule had a difference of around 3 hours. It started with a joyful playing of drums by Batangas drummers and their dances, bring me games which had a few accidents to cosplay part.

The start of the cosplay though, we noticed that there seem to be something odd with the movement of the organizers and they remove the set up of the middle mini sala and modified it, it seemed that a certain group of individuals had set comfy to sit in and ate the snacks provided for myrtle, the intl guests and players, so they decided to remove the grass walls and only placed one long sofa infront, eventually these group of people went home, when all was clear, the cosplay competition started and Myrtle was able to finally have a seat in-front.
The organizers had everything all set up at the very start, the mini sala was meant for her to stay there and comment on the game throughout the program, but since this group of people had occupied the seats, it was only the time of judging that she came out.
I might check this on shelves later at stores...
When I got thirsty, I went to check the booth of natures spring, I tried their testers and I thought Id get a normal water, I was surprised it tasted like apple juice, it made me reminisce how I relied on apple juices when i was trying to remedy my soda dependency when I was a child, and with the one I took, I guess its less effort to mix apple juice powder anymore. It satisfied and quenched my thirst on just a shot glass amount, I might look for it in the shelves when i get by at store.

There were donuts on the other side and a picture booth with the cute cosplay girls which I shyly didn't pose with. Around 7 pm, they announced the winners of the headgear and cosplay competition, I didn't win any place this time but I loved the new experience and feeling I had the time I was in the competition, it felt like having a national exam to set an adrenaline rush and thoroughly activating my artistic sense, it was totally worth it! I'll just work on my pace and learn more about vector art in Photoshop so I'll be able to deliver a better graphics next time.
The difference with former events...
After the announcement, we packed our bags and went home. I was surprised that the game program lasted for more than the time when I fell asleep at around 2 am onwards, but my companion told me that it usually does last that long, even before. I also checked the facebook post voting at their page, I forgot that they also need the likes from audience at around 20% to choose the winner of the artworks. My companion told me that the rules are way better than before because it the voting system was done before through cosplay and judged onsite by audiences, meaning, you could bring your very own army to vote for you, which is a total dismay or disadvantage especially to those that do not have the support onsite, he even stressed that he was in disappointment before since he saw an incredible craftmanship and play execution from a cosplayer but since the voting had played a huge part of the judging, he didn't win. He stressed that headgear competition back then wasn't digital but made with real materials that was only judged onsite as well, he said that it's better that they placed in the voting system to this side of the contest. The cosplay competition's judging was done fair as when the winners was announced, a brief explanation of their win was given and it we all agreed with the outcome, a congratulations for the winners!
A sobing child
While, I was on my way home, I sulk with my companion as to how I've become dormant with my artistic dreams and blamed it mostly with adulting life that I certainly cannot remove, but after a day of endless whining I've halted and moved on, because the challenge for this dreamy artistic session has just started and it's continuing in my life moving forward, I felt relieved and excited that it doesn't have to end. Plus, someone want's to buy me the most expensive Huion tablet just to cheer me up, oh, if you are reading this, thank you. I'd gladly appreciate and accept the cheer, hehehe.
Appreciation
So, that is overall my first time experience attending Ragnafest, It was totally memorable, the drama, emotions and memories that I felt along from this event I will cherish and add to lifetime smiling memory album on my amygdala.
