Everybody was so anxious that all we're hoarded. But whats worse is that the masks ran out earlier due to the Volcanic eruption and you can't breathe without inhaling ashes.
Yeah, pre-pandemic taal became erratic and some died due to the worse ashfall. Masks has already became in demand and short supply already.
At that time, we helped inform everyone at my pages and blog that if you really cant find a mask, a bra would suffice at the moment.
Everyone laughed and even reported us thinking it was some kind of Joke. But later on, they realized were actually telling the truth but they still won't like the fact that you're wearing underwear in your face so they didn't do it.
Gladly, it was thanks to my preliminary gas mask that we survived that. We are already in the metro but we are still inhaling ashes, it is really hard to breath and it hurts to do so.
For someone like me with asthma, it was life-threatening. But because of the gas mask, we survived.
After a few months, we went on lock down. And my first gas mask played important part once more.
However, as the virus evolves my partner gets worried and he tried his best to get us Gas Masks that would best serve protection and do purpose of the face shield + mask requirement.
That's how we acquired the usual Gas Mask I use. Mine was even harder to find because my face was small and at first there was gap in my face.
Thank God when I got chubbier, it fit my face now.
●This gas mask was so comfortable and the rubber doesn't get sticky. Its definitely high quality despite the fact that this was the only gas mask available at that time since everything was hoarded.
●The vision area is wide and that's a plus especially when you're walking. It's definitely snug tight since the first gas mask is more lose and can fall.
●Also, you're definitely protected not only from COVID but also from smogs.
I noticed that my asthma improved because I don't inhale jeepney or truck smoke prevalent in the area.
Best thing is that I don't smell any weird gas. Of course, some downsides include weird gazes and you can get discriminated, my hair gets tangled and it can be hot, you also wont bother with makeup as they wont see it or will melt or smudge anyway, sleeping on it while seating down for more than eight hours is heavy!
Other than that, I love these gas masks. They help me breathe better, improve my asthmas and definitely saved me more times than I can imagine.
A question on your mind would be, well you wouldn't know if its effective against covid anyway.
Well, unfortunately I did have this tried and tested. If you watch my youtube I have been in and out hospitals and even sat with covid patients where everyone around me get infected except us.
You don't believe? That's okay. As long as we survive then that's all that matters anyway. I don't force anyone to wear it and I would never do.
I'm just really blessed that I get to wear a cool life-saving gear and of course how I wish that people wont discriminate others wearing them.
