Wow! Thank you dear God for letting me have this time of relaxation~ Yeah, it's been so long since I last made an entry here on my blog, it can't be helped, adulting has taken up most of my time but I won't waste this moment and tell you so many great news about me.
Now, here on I'll tell you the best purchase there is that I ever have from 2020 to 2021.
Oh my, where do I even start? I'll start with my newest gear, the respirator I've been waiting for arrived around January. It took a year of wait, I've ordered one at the start of Pandemic but it had delays with the courier when shipping were interrupted a lot of times.

It's a good thing it arrived during the time new variant of Covid-19 are discovered. Then, if you're watching one of my vlogs, there was an accident in the family and we had to go to hospitals where we encountered Covid patients in the Emergency Room. Thankfully, even with the close proximity with them, we are in good health.

When it comes to our favorite kitchen utensils, I scored these cute babies at an online store. These are spoon rests but this one is made for soup types, I still like it and has helped so much with serving spoons or fork. Before, we leave the serving spoon and fork at every bowl or just rest it on their lids. It can get quite messy and most times it goes straight to the food, this helps with that especially for sauce or soups so it wont get messy.
Even though we were working day and night, we try our best to sometimes have a good home cooked meal. This is waaay more delicious and healthier than our usual deliveries.
I say that sauces and spices are the best tita investment that we ever did in our pantry, because we're always in rush and whipping up a delicious dish is as simple as tapping your fingers on your smartphone.
Since prices of pork and other food nowadays escalated too high we have become somewhat creative and - minimalistic like a japanese? Yeah, now I understand why they become so artistic. It can't be helped, I guess.
So, we went to the frozen section and discovered Gems! We got into these fish, tofu, lobster balls frozen packs and they were so delicious and easy to do. Even if they are just frozen from the refrigerator, just stuck them all in the claypot, add the noodles, leek, and here I also added my dried marinated pork add water, broth powder and wait for it to bowl and its done!! We were always in a time constraint and to whip up a meal in a matter of time is a luxury!
Although, I must admit this is just a quick and easy meal formulation as I still became hungry after 4 hours. I think...
When it comes to lifesaver, these claypots are everything! I use them all the time even for just cooking rice or simple meals. Everytime, I need to be at my desk to do loads of work, I need to whip up quick meals that don't require much attention and these are what I call wise investments. Because all that I do is to combine all ingredients in together and place water, I let it boil and in a few minutes I already have ready meals available. I was doubtful to but the smaller one at first since it's too small and can only serve one person, but I got it all wrong. I ended up using it frequently for cooking two person rice or seafood noodles and a good amount of entrees, it became my ultimate favorite. But the only downside was that it had a break at the bottom although it never really affected the taste or cooking. I see the gray one being used a lot in Japan and it seems to be a favorite pot in Ryokans.

I installed this outdoors where my mom usually passes through for work. I was concerned when the light got busted and thought it might be the best chance to change the bulb and add this sensor movement light for a purpose. One, which is to alert of any movement in the yard and two for electrical consumption. The downside is that it only stays on for 2 mins and you'll need to move again to activate it, its only recommended in areas that are seldomly passed by people.
Cloth Bag |
Although this bag was a gift, it still had a tag price before it was given to me and the moment I held it I was happy that I was given this. I love cloth bags a lot, back then when I was assigned in communities and hospitals all around the metro and provinces, the one bag that feels comfortable and sturdy enough to carry my books was a cloth type of bag. Nowadays, I don't carry too heavy load since I usually take trips only to hypermarkets and having a cloth bag in this size is such a life saver. The only downside of this bag is that it doesn't have a zipper, it only has a magnetized button lock that snaps satisfyingly but it's not advisable to bring to crowded places like wet markets as thieves can easily see the innards of this bag. Nevertheless, being comfortable and minimalist are one of the great features but the best part is how easy it is to clean it. Since it's a cloth type, it can be included in the wash with other clothes and I don't need to do any other extra effort.
What do you think of my best purchases this year? Did I miss anything that could have been a better purchase? Let me know. Till next time.
