Yesterday, we had to meet someone in Makati for business and that's when we saw several KFC branches in the area. People there seemed to be in the best mood since the day feels nice and cold, a few rain drops lowers the hot temperature of summer and because of that, the place is inviting to go for a walk even with foreigners.

We chose an overlooking view of KFC, mostly because my partner failed to the notice the bigger branch we just passed by. Anyway, the branch was tiny and at that time their comfort room is under maintenance, I held my self which I hate it, I've done hydration therapy first thing I arrived at home.

Alright, so the garlic butter chicken. When we were about to sit I had such an embarassing moment when my stomach growled loudly that the group where I would be sitting stared at me. I could not look up and just played with my partners new phone. The line wasn't really long but it took 15 minutes till he got all the orders, I don't know why it took such amount of time to finally get the food.

When he sat, the garlic and butter aroma seeped through my nose, I helped her arranged the orders on the table and got very oily hands which I tried to wipe out with a piece of tissue, the garlic smell could not be removed. So, if you're going to try this out, bring a sanitizer!

Moving on, the chicken is drenched in oil, I am expecting my neck would hurt again from hypertension, I did not eat breakfast anyway that's why I'm famished. The butter rice was aromatic as well, and when I took a bite the imagination that seeped through was myself enjoying an asian breakfast in a nipa hut surrounded by locals enjoying their first course of a meal at home surrounded by nature, the dish was cooked by their household cook. The chicken skin was slightly crunchy and extremely savory, a small bite squeezes so much oil and you'll need to wipe it down immediately because your lips will most likely be drenched in it.

A warning though, I did not expect the chicken to have spiciness, it's not too spicy though, but I worried my stomach would react since I did not have breakfast and I might end up at the hospital again, gladly it didn't.

Since I did not have the opportunity to have breakfast, this completed the lack of my first meal, I finished the rice quickly and went to order another rice, but they gave us a plain one even if we asked to buy the butter rice.
Anyway, the second try with the plain rice wasn't as satisfying unlike the butter rice, I even felt that I could not finish eating it since they didn't jive with the taste of the chicken.

The inner part of the chicken was nicely cooked however, the taste was bland, the flavor stayed concentrated mostly at the skin area.  We paired the chicken with fries and sprite a splash of freshness of the soda hit the spot of great thirst and tingling sensation on my throat, I couldn't stop drinking.

It was fun to watch people crossing the street while dining in to my favorite food chain and to try their newest offer was a great treat to enjoy a new taste, something which I've been hoping for. However, it would be nice if they could serve us the butter rice on the second round.

Today mark's the hottest temp of Metro around 35°C in the whole year. I thought my weakly body starts to disappoint me once again especially when I am on a tight deadlines but no, it was real. 7-11 gave the best chilling aircon than my room but we couldn't stay for long, only for brunch.

I returned to my workspace at home and tried to finish the projects with blurry eyes, almost exploding nape and world turning round and round. After that i couldn't work anymore. The heat is killing me despite the aircon. I imagine myself on my senior years, if i'll ever experience this heat by that age, i'll probably die of heat stroke immediately.

While I try my very best to stay cool, my favorite mango graham shake store was far away from where I am, I miss the 7-11 ice cream cones but I wasn't in the mood for dairy type desserts, I couldn't really make up my mind to catch grabfood even though I can.

I really miss the having this mango graham shake. The seller, she was like a korean, really pale with blonde wavy shoulder length hair, she was friendly unlike the other who served, and with just P50.00 i get this large sweet size which I find it challenging to finish.

The mango graham shake came right on time when my favorite Frostee closed down, I will never be able to taste my most favorite creme brulee at my favorite market.

I have finally finished watching the Kemono ni Narenai Watashitachi (Weakest Beast), it felt heavy in the heart, the story similar to life situations, I can't really say it was a great ending but it felt more of relief for the main characters.

To be honest, it urges me more to drink and eat ramen noodles.

The next thing that happened to me last month was at the heat of summer, I've marathoned Game of Thrones for work. It was truly addicting and perfect timing to finally watch it after many years of wait. I would usually wait till the season is almost over or over so I can marathon a series.

Now that I was able to watch the till season 7, it never change the fact that my favorites are Khal Drogo and Khalessi

Well, I can say it is difficult to imagine snow in the summer heat but it does help divert attention from the heat sometimes. I've finished work with Game of Thrones in flying colors and I couldn't wait to watch the last season.

Another line of honesty is that I am devastated upon the news of Supernatural going on an end, it was inevitable but they are icons and the story writer /script writer was phenomenal. I actually watched another series of somewhat similar show and I get so irritated for an actor imitating Dean. I won't drop the name of that show but I definitely cringe because instead of giving life to the role he was assigned to it was merely a fabrication of Dean's character. Well, it was done there and I was relieved I don't want to ever see it again.

Well, moving on, I've been into binge watching Lucifer , I find a good chuckle on their humor but still with  a drop of similarity to Supernatural.

I'm not really here to compare them with the series but I can notice the flow and angle are similar. I like the humorous script though.

Well, that's all for now, next time I'll update again for what's new. Do you agree with me above?

I must be blessed. Last time we were out and just walking inside a semi house hardware store near the area, I came across a rare find. It was sitting on a shelf top but no ones takes the interest to pick it up and by the moment I wore it, I understood why. It was just like in cinderella's scene but I didn't have a prince to put the shoe, I did so myself and the size blew me off, it was the perfect fit. I thought it was just waiting for me, when we saw the price was only for P299, it was a good bargain. Finally a kawaii lolita shoe, surprising that it also pairs with my favorite hand sewn bag.

I dream of finally waking up my lolita side, many a times did mom shown me my child lolita dresses yet I have forgotten. The dreams that was created and how magical that world is.

I definitely miss the frostee shop which closed at hypermarket, it was the treat of the moment after a long grocery I hate it.

My favorite sweet Filipino treat, Espasol, a sweet powdery rice cake wrapped in white paper, very natural and organic that melts of goodness and sensation.

    • Mom gave it to me and I immediately had flashbacks of my childhood sweet escapades. Maybe next time I'll do a full lolita photoshoot with my newest member of the shoe family. Till next time then.

Every Valentine's day we do not celebrate it in restaurants. We do not go out on dates or take a few walks. It's not because we are against of the celebration but mostly because of what happened the last Valentine's day date.

During our first 4 years together, we used to go in a battlefield of lovers every Valentine's and yes, we knew about reservations but since we were only students at that time, our budget was limited and could not afford such an expensive reservation. We would walk at SM North EDSA or Trinoma stretch and check on every restaurant for a space to eat, the restaurants we're always jampacked and we would end up eating at home instead. This gave a huge frustration to my bf as he wanted to give me a memorable Valentines, and up till the last time we tried, he almost got into a fight as some men with either girlfriend / wife was staring at me to the point that it angered their partners. My bf of course did not want my Valentine's memory to be a disaster so he decided that we would never go out during Valentine's day. For more than 10 years, we would celebrate Valentines day at home, he would often cook my favorite meals and give me presents at home. This gave him a peace of mind and less pressure because he could cook whatever I crave or wish for, but till this Valentines day of 2019, we were left of no choice but to dine out again and why? I wasn't feeling well because of my continuous work and he was dead tired from work too, this time he couldn't cook anymore.

In the afternoon, we went to our usual sizzling place and gladly, there weren't much customers at that time. We were able to dine without difficulty of lines, it was a big game changer, but at dinner another dilemma came in, I could no longer ride too far from our home and I do not want deliveries since I am already feeling sick, fast food would worsen my condition. In a quick moment, we thought of the newly opened dining place a few steps away from home. I was in doubt at first because when I tried two of their dishes on my first two dines, it wasn't to my taste, but we need to eat since I need to recuperate and he needed energy for his work.

He thought of trying out other food on the menu, he ordered Pares Mami and Pork silog for me, then Pares Mami too for him, around 60 or 75 pesos per order. We were welcomed warmly by the usual persons who cooks and serves us everytime we dined in. It was cold every evening and the changes in climate worsens my condition, people on a hurry go down the jeep, hurry home and stopped by to watch the newly opened place, most of them order take out as they are too tired to dine.

There weren't much customers and we were able to choose our own place to sit, I love their wooden tables, it definitely adds character and style. The first food served was their Porksilog, I took a bite and paired it with the garlic rice. The meat was juicy, full of flavor and breading gives a salty covering to the meat, the garlic rice gave an asian touch in my mouth and then I whispered to him, "I found my favorite". He was actually staring at me the whole time as his order hasn't arrived yet. I continued bite after bite and the next thing I knew the next order was delivered shortly.

Pares Mami's bowl was to our surprise, I thought it'll just be any medium sized bowl, but for me, one bowl would be good for two! I immediately cleaned my spoon of rice and swiped into the Pares mami soup, the warm garlic beefy soup woke up my senses and warmed me, the best part was they placed a good amount of onion leek which when I started to sip and my throat cleared!

I next tried their noodles, they were longer in length and width was somewhat bigger than the usual noodles, I thought that it might be difficult to chew but this assumption proved me wrong, they were soft and easy to chew, since the noodles are different from usual noodle sizes, I felt that it satisfied my hunger immediately. I looked at my partner and then I noticed that he was already indulged in his Pares Mami too.

I smiled and noticed that the staff were also playing great songs in the background, they wanted us to enjoy the night and because of that some passersby couldn't resist and ordered too. We were on the middle of enjoying the meal when we were surprised to hear my partner ordering Bagnet Silog,  I was delighted to see him enjoying an appetizer I guess, it took only a short while, his order was served and I offered him to have a piece of my meal in exchange of his. Well, that's my way of telling him I wanted to know his meal's taste.

We were on discussion of how good pair we had for the first meal when I halted and went quiet while chewing the newly ordered meal, Bagnet. I felt at loss and defeated, the skin was crispier than those of my porksilog, meat melts with fat in my palate. We were silent for sometime, I knew he was also analyzing every taste of this meal, but for me, I am already on a pictured anime defeat cry, he had chosen a real winner.

Our drinks was a large sized mountain dew and it was kept cold because they have a good freezer to store them, chugging down till the last drop on the cup, the sweet carbon felt like a reward for a job well done. I felt the whole experience was too perfect, it was different from what happened to us every time we would try to dine in to restaurants and would go home tired, annoyed and hungry. Hopefully, this changed my bf's sour memory of our past valentines dates outside, I told him that it felt like broke our tradition of our usual Valentine's celebration. At first he felt hesitant and said "but it wasn't a fancy one" then followed "...but we had a wonderful time, ambiance, meal and were welcomed, it was all worth it.". I smiled at him and told him I felt better, which I did and wrote down this almost short story blog, you can very well say I was inspired too.

Pictures to follow, I didn't bring any cameras with me as I wasn't feeling well holding on to anything.

Last Christmas, we had to grab the easiest luxury meal that we can do at home, not only because we want to keep it minimal but all of us were feeling lazy doing the cooking and preparation. December was after all a busy month for us and doing the most convenient yet healthy meals are essential for the family. It was just very easy 5 steps and you can even cook while you're doing something else on the side, once the pasta has been boiled to soft all you need to do is combine everything.

    Ingredients:

    Pesto Powder
    Olive Oil
    Parmesan Cheese
    Bacon Strips
    Pasta
    Water

    Procedure:

    1. Boil the pasta in water and let simmer till soft.
    2. Fry the Bacon Strips till crispy.
    3. Combine Pesto powder and olive oil to make sauce, pour over the pasta.
    4. Garnish with Parmesan Cheese.
    5. Serve

When my blog is still a toddler, I've made a vow to myself that the very first sponsored experience of dining in an unlimited Yakiniku restaurant will be given a gift of my appreciation.

That gift is to complete a look in traditional Japanese fashion, a kimono. The dream finally came true, although we made a few modifications to the kimono, such as made the lower part shorter so it'll be easier to mobilize.

Believe it or not I am also wearing sneakers for extra comfort. For my hair though it's my DIY ponytail that suppose to be in uploaded soon in my you tube page and my favorite gold ribbon.

And finally, all dreams came true for last December 3, 2018 Tuesday at Sct. Fernandez Tomas Morato, we visited Yoshi Meatsu branch and had a once- in a lifetime experience on a korean japanese unlimited restaurant.

We proceeded upstairs and you'll be able to see a huge display of Japanese snacks or katana displays.

    Food on table:

G1- G2 Sliced beef Yakiniku, G3 Spicy Beef Yakiniku, R4 Lettuce, G4 Sliced US fatty beef Yakiniku, H1 Herbed Pork

The staff kindly prepared the table for us and we were given seats upstairs, the restaurant has welcoming warmth feel and air is filled with grilled meat all over, it is not smoky which I thought will, but because of the installed individual exhaust which seems to suck in all the smoke emanating from the charcoal grill.

I love how the staff laid out the table setting of Stainless steel chopsticks and rectangular plates, then sauce servings per side, makes it easy to access everything you need.

On my floral white and blue modified kimono, I've joined in the 2pm servings of Tempura, Grade 1-2 Yakiniku at first.

It was drenching hot outside so I started with the glass bottle of chilled apple tea, the sourness and apple flavor slides on my throat, and did I just mentioned the aesthetic glass it comes, each bottle costs P138.00 and its a treat to take it home for a eco-friendly totally stylish swap to plastic bottles. Although, the bottles are not part of the unlimited deal and sold separately, I would have a pretty cool reason to go back here.

Since it was my first time, I am blessed to the fullest in being company with non other than foodie specialist of bvloggers.com, he introduced to me how I do a good sequence and to the best combinations of the food.

The price is 2 Plates at a time
    Promo Price P549
    Leftover fee 899

We added Sakana Tofu, light and Tofu~
    Wiener Sausage

    Chicken liver

The juicy yakiniku meat just melts in my palate, there were three sauce to pair them with but I avoided the spicy one, can't have that due to my stomach condition, if you've read my medical blog you'll know what I mean. I thought everything was going to be spicy, my fear and anxiety of trying always gets on the way, but my bestfriend, on our small talks l, reassured me that I should try one and I will have a choice not to have the spicy sauce.

    Korean and Japanese Sochu
I had a sip of both korean and japanese Sochu and my whole body felt really warm on just first sip which I regret since I am wearing triple linens.

    Herbed Steak
Herbed steak being cooked as to per my request of "well done", took me one challenging bite but it was worth it, the thickness of the meat will not disappoint if you're looking to find something that would satisfy your hunger.

Japanese treats such as california maki is included on the side. Yum Yum! Both the bland rice and a bit of sour salty stuffing rubbles in my mouth delightfully.

Striking a pose while the meat sizzles, table top grilling does give you a lot of bonding time with your family, friends or special someone, its the perfect sit, chill and eat experience on staying updated with them and with toast of drinks, this is a great way to reward and celebrate for a job well done.

The best treat is the cheese, their grill has special side where you can place the cheese and let it grill too, the salty taste and savoury meat combined makes delectable palate experience.

On the table Cheese Roll, Kyuri salad, Kani Salad. We were also served Miso soup at the end.
    Miso Soup
The miso soup is my very first try, people tell me that it tastes sour like sinigang, its none like sinigang for me, theres only faint sourness, its aromatic but never overpowering.

Meeting new friends and sharing the bountiful meal is ❤. We met with Mr. Ross and other bloggers and interviewed Ms. Ella, thankfully welcomed us warmly on this day.

At the time of our grill, amazingly caught my attention is when they played anime music videos such as the Hunter X Hunter, you guys know how I'm a big fan of this anime. Of course, my love for kpop and kdramas will always be there too, I got all excited and hyped up to blog because of the songs.

I went to peak downstairs at the serving area and saw their rows and columns of prepared dishes picked up to be served. I wanted to lend a hand to serve. Hehehehe

The cashier is right beside this serving station and welcomes you once door is opened.

Facilities such as a small comfort room and wash area are located on the 2nd floor. So, if you need to hold your lettuce, you don't need to worry, they have good soap, hehehe

If you'll need to order more, there's a touch screen in every table where you may order them.

The staff are going up and the stairs all the time, so if you need something they are there to assist.

We had such an amazing time and we made videos for a quick round up, which you may check on my you tube page once uploaded.

I had fun with sir Ross on making a short video in Japanese language although my voice isnt too audible due to the noise in the background. You may see some videos available in his facebook wazzup pilipinas page. I laughed when I saw my self on some videos and pictures. seemingly trying to focus on engulfing meat hehehe.

I haven't tried their premium offers yet, but I can see from their menu that it'll be worth it, when you get to dine it, maybe try their premium deals to see the difference.
