The Holiday last year, it was truly tough for us and to many. It is even a question if there would be any Holiday celebration. To be honest, you can't even feel the holidays because of the fear and anxiety of the Pandemic. Last year, you'd probably thought of so many
'ifs' and '
maybe' that it seems like your mind is about to blow up.
And so enjoying Holidays didn't seem to be possible. We did not also expect SANTA to come in anymore since it would be dangerous to get infected.
The LONELINESS is felt too deep especially for those that have a long-distance relationship, are under quarantine or maybe just do not have a significant other to cuddle or spend time with. Worst of all is many lost loved ones and spending the first Holidays with them. Some of us are wondering if they'll even be able to make it in the Holidays alive with every breath of air to grasp seem more like the last lifeline left, it is so heartbreaking.
Although for some of us, were showered with blessings and families to help cheer us up and CUSHION THE MADNESS that's happening in the world.
Cruel the world to others while heaven to some. But this year-end, it's going to be better, I know most of the time you're always been thinking a lot about many things or other people perhaps, however, this holidays, I hope that you can TAKE IT EASY and UNEASE THE WEIGHT you're feeling on your shoulders. There are things that you can't control and you can only carry this much, so let go of these worries and it's time for you to enjoy the wonderful music and see beautiful things.
This Upcoming Holiday, if you need to CRY, go ahead. After all, you're doing A REALLY GOOD JOB. You've come so far and by far you're still the best! Not many can do the same that you did and endure so much like you do. Hell, if this works, you deserve the best BONUS - the most PREMIUM one! But don't feel guilty accepting it, you definitely deserve each and every piece of that reward!
What food have you never tried before? Do you have something that you wanted to do so badly even when you were young that you weren't able to do? How about something that you want to have the most but were set aside because you said you don't need it?
Reading this I know it probably crossed your mind that "I should be spending something I don't need or doing something that isn't productive!". Dear, your HAPPINESS during these times is worth more than any precious jewelry or any EXCLUSIVE PROPERTY.
If last year, you were unable to put any holidays decoration up, maybe it's time to do it this year. Doesn't need to be too many decorations, even a simple Christmas light to help BRIGHTEN the mood would do.
It may still be early but plan on a few nice SWEETS you'd want to have... if you're probably health wary of sweets there are those products that are available in place of the usual sugar. Never ever skip this one because that EXTRA SUGAR in your system is what activates the happy memories... like if you remember when you were a child.
Also, start listening to really GOOD HOLIDAY MUSIC. One that is pleasant to hear, like those that make you excited for the incoming events... I know you think that maybe you want to be outside but you can't. However, that goes around because there are things that you can't do outside but YOU CAN inside your home. For now, cherish this moment and please be patient, time will come when you'll be able to freely roam around without any threat.
If you can't really wait to go out. Don't forget to triple mask up as the new OMICRON variant is feared because vaccines are not effective with it and stay away from crowded areas for now. This seems to be restricting but please bear a little so your body will thank you later.
This Holidays do something that you've never done before, have the best fun, and don't hold back. As I said, you've done a wonderful job these 2 years, you're well-deserving of this type of PAMPERING.
A friend was surprised and told me that It's good I still get a 'me' time despite the hectic schedule I have. It seems tough to have these moments nowadays especially with Christmas rushing in and the whole world was just starting to slowly open up, that's all true.
It's so much busier as everyone rushed like there's no tomorrow to regain back the economy. Maybe I got this 'chill vibe' when I started working as an EMERGENCY RESPONDER, after all when we handled worst-case scenarios, we never should panic at all times or it will crowd our judgment on what next procedure to do.
During those times, I developed to really cherish each and every minute I have because every minute counts and you'll lose life at each tick of the clock. So I probably have that mindset incorporated in me, to CHERISH every moment I have whether it'll be for work or leisure.
They did say MAKE EVERY SECOND COUNT so I do just that, living a good life slowly and making sure that if I get the chance to do the things I like, I never waste a moment.
Never ever let it a day pass without spoiling yourself even for just a tiny bit. There is actually some type of studies that you try to recharge thyself whenever the ATTENTION SPAN is no longer there on work nor study like the Pomodoro technique, you'll be surprised how effective & productive especially on absorbing information.
And so how will this Holiday be any different from the last time?
The tense Atmosphere is slowly subsiding
I don't mean that we are on a battlefield. Somewhat, there is a feeling of ACCEPTANCE and LETTING GO of the whole Pandemic situation and the economy is starting to recover. Yes, there is a new threat however unlike how it was at the first ENCOUNTER with the virus, people have somewhat higher anxieties than what it is now. This year we all learned how to DEFEND and MANUFACTURE vaccines, unlike before we were all crawling in the dark, poking sticks on what will work and not. This AURA of lessened Anxieties, has made the atmosphere settle down in a good calmness hopefully for the better.
The displays are far more better this year
When I was a child, my mom would often take me to COD to see the animatronic display of dolls with a Birth of Christ story theme. Each year, they would have a different story to put up and for a small child like me, this experience it truly one of a kind, magical. As I grew older and understood the basic mechanics of how those dolls work, slowly that excitement dwindles down until the interest in no longer there. The sparkles and the magical feeling that used to illuminate in my eyes have now turned into greys and black hole of emptiness.
This year however, since the malls and establishments put in the all the best effort they can to keep people going to their location, they are putting the most elaborate displays that even for me would be too excited to see! So, if you really are into heading out, I know your holiday experience this upcoming year will truly light back that old flame on your eyes. For me that is a concerned with my health, we will first make sure to wear the best GEAR of protection. You know me, we go out in our gas masks and even though people find it odd, unfortunately, its tried and tested with everybody being infected except for us.
I'm not saying that you have to wear gas masks or so, but if you're more concerned with your health more than ever, would like to get around without worries of the virus, then I would be really DELIGHTED introduce them to you.
People are learning to combat the Pandemic
I've had credible expert sources tell me how long this Pandemic will be. Everyone knows that the vaccines are just on their human testing phase, the side effects and future consequences will slowly come out sooner or later, but of course, never forget that we are human and viruses may evolve the same time as we are but reread that line - WE ARE ALSO EVOLVING. In just a few months we were able to develop these vaccines with the minimal side effects, unlike how it was before that there were deadlier side effects. Now, we are waiting for long-term effects, right?
Yes, there will be... and always be. I don't want to sugar coat it to you but if by chance you were the one who had the deadliest consequence of the the long term effects of the vaccine in the future. Do whatever it is that you want to do in life NOW. Quite brutal for me to say or rather unprincessy? But that's how life is. We are given these vaccines with a purpose to prolong life and prevent the infection from making it worse, but life is inevitable to fade away. They are not immortality jabs and either ways, even if this virus does not kill you, other situations might do.
So, what I'm saying is.
Kindly live your life to the fullest doing only the things that you love doing the most.
This Pandemic is like a RESET BUTTON for you to start fresh but this time you are starting with experience. I saw that in one of the business quotes out there and I definitely vouch for it. Everyone is on GROUND ZERO, don't think that someone is ahead of you. It's time you do what you love to do, either way everything is a risk so why not do the things you want the most. Because you never know when time is up, right?
The Gourmet (experience) will be a BLAST!
Even though Pandemic shut down most establishments last year and this year, there are more new ones to discover and most of them have come from the last closure, they too are in like a 'rebranding' start.
They've come with great experience from their last business and this time for sure are improving them more. For those that have just started, wouldn't it be nice to discover something new and exciting?
Pandemic let one thing open always, and that is food business. So, for sure it would be like discovering new gems and treasure chest now!
Entertainment would be amazingly memorable!
Last year, the entertainment industry is one of the most hit during frequent closures so we can expect it'll definitely be a one whole explosion of fantastic performances and events to come soon.
They will of course still adhere to protocols so that business will continue and for sure they'll give out the most on these entertainments after all, there was so much time for planning.
A time of healing
Everyone just had tough times and it would wonderful time this year end will be to be gentle and caring with each other.
I actually see a lot of pressured peers as the Holidays start to countdown however, don't beat yourselves up for not being able to provide something out of budget this Holidays, after all we are all been beaten badly by the virus and were only starting to send out antivirus in our bodies to combat this.
So if ever you feel pressure for not being able to place a turkey on the table or provide gifts for the family, you can tell them honestly, they'll understand and for you don't feel guilty because we are still starting to recuperate and we got a long way ahead of us.
This year, we'll cherish more of our time with people who we want to spend with unlike before Pandemic, we rush everything avoiding interaction to avoid awkward situations and freud in the family thats feels like it never will end.
However, because of what happened in the past year we all realized that in just a second, we may never be able to see or hear this people forever so I do hope you guys find the courage to reconcile and have the peace of greeting and forgiving each other again.
Because we never know when its someone else's last will be.

How do you make this upcoming holidays different this year?
In our side, would be discovering into a new gourmet experience. However, we are already planning to prepare to go outside too. We might get vaccinated when our schedules line up together then buy new upgraded gear so we can sight see the new displays around the area!
