What you don't know about the true meaning behind the Cautious Hero' Goddess- Ristarte

*** Spoiler alert: Don't proceed if you have not watched Cautious Hero's ending***

Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious, or in Japanese Kono Yūsha ga Ore Tsuē Kuse ni Shinchō Sugiru is one of the Isekai anime that we have watched airing from October 2019 to December of 2019. Even if the anime is not the last Isekai genres that are lined in our list, this anime did capture our undivided attention with it's overpowering similarities to Ainz Ooal Gown in Overlord

Every episode is a mystery as the story progresses in the search for the main character's background - Seiya Ryuguin, of the reason why he became too overly cautious. The anime's last few episodes answer all the questions in every watcher's mind. However, there might still be a few Easter eggs that we still have to uncover, and that is none other than the protagonist's Goddess, Ristarte (also called Risutarute in Japanese).

We may not have noticed it all along, but we were already spoilt of the ending just from the start of the first episode - the introduction of the Goddess, Ristarte. Ristarte is first introduced as a rookie Goddess who is assigned to provide salvation on another world named, Gaeabrande from the evil Lord Demon through sending a hero to save it.

So How did we get spoilt again? Ristarte maybe one that they classify in the 'useless Goddess' category, but that's not the easter egg that we are looking for. It's actually in one hidden meaning just behind the name of the Goddess, Ristarte. Yes, I'm pretty sure you've got the hint by this time. If you type out the word Ristarte with autocorrect on, it will immediately suggest the spoiler. The Autocorrect will give you the suggestion, Restart. It seems as if only the letter 'e' was placed on the end of the word, and the addition of 'i' in the middle was inevitable to give a better pronunciation.

The meaning of the word Restart means start again or a new beginning, which seems to be the case of what happened to Ristarte, when she became a Goddess after her death as a human.

The Goddess of healing, also known as the wife or girlfriend of the Cautious Hero, Seiya, has indeed gone into a brand-new restart after their gruesome encounter with the Demon Lord from their past life. We can actually say that Ristarte was reincarnated as a Goddess from being human when the team's plan of attack failed, and they were engulfed by the Demon Lord.

As to whether Ristarte's reincarnation was some sort of apology, a wish or a reward from Ariadoa is a still a mystery in the anime. All we know is that Ariadoa has knowledge of Ristarte's pregnancy at the beginning and that they chose not to disclose this to Seiya, so as not to distract him from the quest to battle with the Demon Lord.

Can we say that Ristarte has also experienced being Isekai-d? We say maybe - although in a higher form or being - as a Goddess. So both Seiya and Ristarte did get their own 'restart' on their own dimensions or the world after all.

Their brand new life would have been left separate, and both of them would never have met, but it's as if they were meant to meet again, although it feels that the next life they would have is a dangerous atonement from their last mistake - being careless.

Even so, it's like destiny did bring these two together, and we just wonder, would there be another chance that they'll still marry and have a child of their own once more? Well, since Seiya's memories have already been unlocked, we wonder if this will make some changes with her 'usual treatment' with Ristarte?

Other questions lingering, what happened to the other team members in Seiya's past group? Were they reincarnated? Was the child also reincarnated?

We sure would like to know... don't leave us hanging, please!

Here we are, hoping for another season.

    Till next time!
