    Terminology:

" Pila " -a Tagalog term for Line, referring to the persons that form a line in jobs.

It felt like the retro ages.
I have just seen the pictures of Old Manila and those that was never seen again. I have the fascination of how rich our Mother land is, the Philippines. At that time, The country was able to afford a million worth of double deckered bus, 3D Billboards, electrical transportation and the comeback fashion which I envy nowadays.
On my honest observation, the Philippines is experiencing the poverty that is much worse when I was in high school. Whenever I go to job fairs long "Pila" is always expected. I had the question in my mind, with the many population of unemployed Filipinos, what happens to them when they don't get a job? How are they able to live?

It seemed dim to me, that I could be called for a job, especially for me, who is looking for a part- time job, employers would want full time schedule. Posters around the place saying, “Job needed”, “Job opportunity” but, ah, something else…. What’s the catch?
I am also one of those they call “Promised children”, promised in the sense that they promised for a brighter future & Job opportunity in my first course in Nursing, but even now, most of my colleagues still on their 5th year OJT, well, that’s quite a long training isn’t it?
I’m also the same as others who would need to  go abroad just to earn a proper living, but what I loved about the job I am taking is: It is the job of my dreams, I’ve taken a shift of career, decided to revive my primary dream.
    and followed my heart’s desire.
I came from the curriculum where most people are like dogs, “Dog EAT dog”, It is still the same where I am right now, but the only difference is, I am taking what I really wanted, people doubt me whenever I tell the truth that I am taking the course because of my dream, I often read on their eyes that they do not believe.

It is quite a sight to see the competition of Needs vs Dreams, who is the most formidable of all? Which can stand the test of time?
Is Pursuing my dream the right thing to do?

A special thanks to the person that helped revived my dream. My MEAW

I have another Assignment and I had the idea to cosplay Fox from Crossfire Game which I then saw in front of an Internet Cafe near our home.
I immediately saw her and wanted to know who she was and her partner is, so, when I searched the Net I instantly fell in love to both the characters and watched a lot of their video game, which is a very cool character of this game.

Here in the Philippines besides the Famous DOTA game, CrossFire,a first-person shooter game, published by Gameclub, is also one of the most played game.

When it comes to action I love genres of Military themes. I recently saw a competition about Cosplaying any Military game, I really wished that I was free at that time to cosplay this. But oh, Here they are.

I loved my blonde hair. It has been my crowning glory over the years. Hair is a very essential part to a person, it can change a person's profile in an instant. To me, it was a bit challenging to cut it but I knew I had to for a greater purpose.

The look I am trying to achieve is Alice from Twilight or Aya Hirano, a famous Jpop singer.
I thought about it a lot and I am ready to make that change in my life.Others that have seen me like this, and had different reactions, but for me, it is just the start of something that I have been waiting for my whole life. You will find it out soon.
I hoped you liked this new look of mine and stay tuned for new updates in this blog.

Among the greatest movies that I love, Among them is Jet Li , as a monk, a man (human) and a legendary white snake. The movie's name is The Sorcerer and the White Snake starring Jet Li. The movie had an interesting Plot I loved every scene there was from the very start of the story.

I had an assignment, regarding combination of two animal photos and dramatic scenery.
I experimented with different Lighting Techniques and Filters to blend out the elements.

In here I used Dark Intensity as Filter. My Hair is a Peacock and legs are from the snakes.

This Filter is Diffuse Glow, this is one of my favorites it looked very very magical and the glow compliments the whole scenery without overpowering the elements.
This is my normal Photo color of the body, except for the snakes, which I added a little sepia tones to match the color of the background.
This is the final blended out of the features.

another assignment is the combination of the animals, I combined Bat wings + snapping turtle + lizard tail to create this set off tones and there it is. This pose is inspired by How to Train your Dragon movie.

    Daddy

To many people he is called Daddy, almost everyone calls him that, not only because he is the father to his 3 children, Kuya Tawey, Ate Ianne and Kuya Robin, but was also considered as a father to all. I call him Daddy too, although, I was raised without the presence of a father, he was the one I looked up as my father, besides his father- Tatay Jose.

Picture dated back highschool 2006 @ Chinese Restaurant
For me, he was more than any Dad out there, He was not only my father, but my bestfriend, teacher, adviser, protector and defendor. He is the person that shows me what a real father is like, he showed me that even though caring and protecting are qualities of a father but also a supportive and has the greatest faith on her daughter, because of that I was able to do many unbelievable things, including solving algebra, and believe it or not, I gained highest scores at Math back in college.

At times when I get very confused and I do not know what to do, he would always be there, never failing to get me back on track after conversation with him. He may not know it, but I always feel safe whenever I am with him, he always makes me feel secure from any harm that might happen.

When I was young, I always think that he’s on any airplane that passed by the clouds, calling him “daddy, daddy!” and wishing him the best with his journey, now I give you my best travel wish dad,  cause I know it’ll be a very long ride up there in heaven, “Daddy, Daddy! Have a safe trip, remember I love you a lot and have a wonderful vacation up there with the almighty”

From tight fitting corsets, huge puffed sleeves and cotton high socks and dainty cute shoes...
Lolita fashion is a style inspired in 19th century and is now in a huge trend in the 21st century.

A headress, Puffed Sleeves, Skirt Petticoat, bloomers, cute socks, these are the basics of a lolita fashion.
Yes, I said Lolita Fashion~ those people which loves this fashion and freely wears them are called Lolitas. Lolita Fashion is based upon the Victorian period, wherein corsets, petticoats and gowns were the fashion statement at that time, the Japanese had adapted this fashion sense and they call it Lolita Fashion. Searching upon the meaning of the word "Lolita"in google:

Lolita fashion from my own view is a way of self expression

I am a Lolita fashion lover. I also wear this fashion sometimes although I haven't posted it here yet~ but soon I will. I try to place my self in a lolita's shoes, I can describe it as the feeling of femininity in the sense of being young, cute and lovable and the urge to express this feeling thru clothings and things that can visually describe the passion. I love things and clothings that are cute, pink and intricately designed, victorian style, but I can't conclude that I am a Lolita, I don't hate the fashion nor love it but I adore the cuteness and colors of each garment.. Keep in mind that lolita fashion has it's elements in order to be called lolita fashion, a person in order to be called a "Lolita" accepts and willingly expresses this fashion because she loves it, adapts the fashion and no other malevolence. Example is the Anatomy of a Lolita picture above.

It depends on the persons own perspectives on how she perceive a lolita is, others refer to their feelings...
but then again we all have our own reasons ^^

The Distinction of "Lolita" from "anime"
Often times, anime is confused with word lolita, some people refer to an anime as "lolita" because of they see  the characters in this fashion and unintentionally adrresses them as "lolita" , but to clear it up,

Anime is not Lolita, the word "lolita" refers to a PERSON wearing a fashion, originated in victorian period and was adapted by Japanese culture and spread worldwide.

    Summary:

    Lolita- a person;
-the person wearing a fashion statement~ victorian influenced/inspired designs.
Lolita is not anime and vice versa
Lolita fashion~ refers to a style. It has many purpose but mostly are for self-expression.

Now, in animes we usually see these fashion, here are the list of anime that I love and have watched, where the characters also wears this fashion.

On his way home one evening, he stumbles across a persocom in the form of a beautiful girl with thigh-length hair lying against a pile of trash bags, and he carries her home, not noticing that a disk fell on the ground. Upon turning her on, she instantly regards Hideki with adoration. The only word the persocom seems capable of saying is "chi" (ちぃ Chii?), thus he names her that. Lolitas in Cosplay

Nowadays, there are Cosplays that are themed by Lolita fashion. Cosplay is an art, a form expression, similar to Lolita fashion, both of them adresses to such definitions. Cosplay expands to many worlds, , usually Cosplay refer to a certain character in a manga, game, anime and such, but now some have included Lolita as Cosplay. It's not clear on the debate on these though, it depends a personal perspective if Lolita can be cosplayed.

    Lolitas in business

Many Cafes worldwide had opened up with Lolita fashion. It's not really a bad concept, I think for business it is a great strategy to catch viewers attention and create a welcoming atmosphere.
