The heat is on

As I scrolled through my feed, almost everyone in my circle are thinking of a quick summer getaway. They have uploaded their pictures of their adventures which of course involves the sand, beach and somewhere cold. I, on the other-hand have stayed at my room and staying cool as I can. I visit the condo once in a while to swim but most of my time I am at home. People thought that they'd be so many who use the swimming pool but actually it's the opposite.

Berkeley residences in Katipunan remains to have seldom swimming pool goers so I enjoy the pool all by my self all the time. I get to refresh and revive myself unlike going to public pools. What I just hated the most though is that the new management requires to pay a P150.00 per person swimming pool fee for other tenants than us which makes them a total klutz, how about our monthly tenants then? well, I am on total snob with them for now because I hate their corrupt management.

Now, don't wonder why I'm always looking pale white because I mostly skip summer, more likely celebrate it before and after summer season. Yes, if you remember I did mermaid-ing already, I consider that my summer getaway and since I did not want to be toasted to the sun, I scheduled it to start immediately before summer season even started.

For a digital nomad like me, summer may not exist because you can work anywhere, anytime! well, I love my life online but I hate the heat of the sun. It's hard to focus on a monitor when you have heat cramps all the time.

There was never a day where I never felt a small headache or migraine due to this heat. I did all my means to keep cool even to make a homemade Kakigori or placing ice on top of my head. My God, Global super warming! Even more, that my energy is low during these season.

I noticed it's not only me who experiences these but I've found out most people have been affected by this hot season. Even my bestfriend feels vertigo due to this heat, I would understand since I visited provinces near her and damn it feels like I am in desert and I won't be able to last so soon with that.

1. Sweet cool beverage/ ice cream

Ice cream is on demand at our household, the whole gallon. It only takes us less than 3 days to consume those sometimes in just a few minutes even, imagine how this temperature affect us, ice cream actually helps a lot especially with low sugar levels since I seldom have appetite due to heat then I work, I become hypoglycemic all the time, so this keeps me going until such time the temperature gets lower and I get to cook a meal.

2. Sour type soup

Choosing a meal is as tough. Nothing seems to satisfy me, I would choose not to consume any food because the heat had terminated my appetite but I had a few sour soup which helped regain hunger.

3. Love your chores

There is but one thing that also kept me very cool and I never thought I would like to do this because the next is actually house hold chores. Yes, You've read it right. House hold chores involving water, washing the dishes and doing early morning laundry. They actually kept me cool as long as I re-hydrate all the time and not push my self too much they do help lower the temps.

4. DIY cooling pads

During my working hours, to avoid overheating I would place in some cooling pads on my head. I just do these and insert the iced sheets on wear it with a band. I have these small ice packs that are slim and perfect fit for these cats and it work wonders. I could switch this to a cooling eye patch when I want to! :)

Just make sure to add in a lot of extra plastic so that water won't drip.

5. Frequent Bath

Taking frequent bath may seem to be a chore but it definitely helps a lot to cool down. I schedule baths in the morning and afternoon to keep cool before heat turns on and after the sun has gone down so I could sleep nicely. My bathrobe became my most frequent attire to wear who cares? its summer and it's like you're always wearing towels on the beach, right?

My Erina Nakiri from Shokugeki No Soma cosplay

A few days ago I was awaken by a simple reminder of Meaw cosplay's 3 year anniversary. It was such an unforgettable convention at 8th Philippine cosplay where everyone just enjoyed and performed their talents. Since this memory brought me smiling everytime I see it, I have done a quick simple Erina Nakiri cosplay from Shokugeki No Soma, this is done to thank everyone for all their support.

I am a fan of Shokugeki no Soma especially Ms. Nakiri.

The dress is from Season 4 Episode 1 which I have been waiting for so long to watch and now I can't wait to see the next episode.

Cospray Odd-Job at Crowne Plaza Hotel Glorietta

They say that second-time is the sweetest, proven true with my 2nd part-time job as Product Ambassadress for Cospray held at Crowne Plaza Hotel for Dance like a rockstar Easter event special. By the way, if you haven't seen the videos, I have compiled them on my youtube page.

What happened at the part-time job.....

EDSA had no traffic since it's Easter Sunday and most people went home to their own provinces. I, on the other hand, had no province but just Metro Manila, I enjoy travel the best on this times, because the road traffic is like as if I'm in the provinces. We got there 3 hours before the time in and met with our contact person.

It was my first time to visit Crowne Plaza and my excitement is the same as the kids on Easter Egg Hunt, we had a designated stall and seats for the promotion of the products and I was glad to meet a new cosplayer friend, Ms. Geneva.

The shift hasn't started yet but so many kids lined up to try the product already, a free trial was done to each kid wanting to get an edgy color for their hair.

I had brought my stencil and did this, gold was the best for the black hair because the color pops.

I explored further in the hotel where I found a main hall for the event and damn it was bigger than I thought and fancier.

What I enjoyed most is the photobooth and gone 2 times before and after the shift.

Mascots visit the hall from time to time and kids loved to take pictures with them.

The shift is 1:00-3:00 pm and we cleaned up after. I enjoyed the day of my odd-job, it was truly rewarding as we discovered so many important things that I would want to show you soon....

Caring for your natural hair while wearing weave

It is crucial that you select a weaving technique that isn't by itself causing harm to your hair. My baby Moe youth years: Throwback Saturday

My Favorite anime poster collection from early 2000 and up.

Back then, the most favorite thing I do was to collect different pictures of my favorite anime series printed out on the white sheet of cardboard priced around P5.00 to P10.00 depending on the size.

They sell them outside our school and with just a limited budget of P20.00 a day, I would bring bento so as not to spend it on food and spend 30 minutes choosing between a wide selection of posters.

The sellers would sometimes get annoyed as to how long I stare at the posters and taking only a few that my money can afford.

Surprisingly, when my school budget went higher, this collection craze continued. I was gifted with more than posters by my friends like cassette tapes, CDs, figma and many more but I still look for posters to collect.

I definitely have no explanation as to why I love them so much. The second collection was texts or a wallet size picture of anime and I had a chest full of it, unfortunately, due to flood they did not survive.

I had all the posters up on a huge wall like a gallery and yeah someone would complain as to how weird and dizzy the pictures are in their eyes but I did not care. I am happy to channel my inner moe and see my favorites by the moment I open my eyes and close them.

Later I had realized that I am taken in by the how artistic anime was made by their creators, the main reason why I always look for the rare ones only.

I was also bullied for liking anime, believing and sometimes making my own story versions of them. It was a tough childhood that I am still experiencing until now, people back then we're not acquainted with Anime and they feel that it's like cartoons. Now, most people have known about it yet they bully faithful fans for many reasons. It's an unending struggle that I imagine fighting until my hair turns to gray.

Guess what, after years of struggle of Moe's like me, I see them become a unique individual compared to other people, their wide imagination made all the dream technologies, events came to life. Although I can imagine the struggle they have to overcome, whenever I see a dreamer my support is all out. I also see others support as well but they do so in a discreet manner which is great too.

The point is it's the ERA where dreams come true.

Now's a perfect time. Not tomorrow. Not later.

When I first started ReshaDollyPrincess, it was a continuation of a blog from a former blogging website that had closed up, it became a blank slate to start expressing my thoughts and adventures for passion-driven individuals like me.

I shared mostly anything under the sun, my favorite was keeping a good journal of my self-photography.

My childhood dreams finally became true when I was able to finally make costumes of my own and cosplay my favorite anime characters. I was such a reserved person at that time that I could only take photographs in our own house.

As years pass by, I meet with people from all around the world and they were interested to get promotions for their event or products with my name, the first time my blog went to .com was the first landmark of this blog to turn into a business.

I never really thought it would be a business since I only started with my usual fun journal, but when opportunity strikes, I never missed the chance to grab it and because of that ReshaDollyPrincess wouldn't be the same as it was until today.

For years, I would do a lot of collaborations with different brands and companies but never did I thought of advertising them on my own page for easier accessibility. I regret that big time, but now I'm happy that I was able to do it. I was able to find a good reference for a Collaboration page where all brands or partnerships can easily fill in their forms for my selected collaboration requests.

I placed links on the navigation menu and also on a drop down at Collaboration tab. The links navigate thru my Collaborations page where you will be able to read my Collaboration selections and fill up a form to get all the details done.
